The LGHT of SCRIPTURE

The study of the Holy Scriptures have been divided into something mathematical and though it accommodates marking our pace of study and, that being a good thing for some, it is the, single worst thing that has ever happened to the Word of God. This division of the Jewish Bible occurred in the Fifteenth Century and the division of the New Testament happened in the Sixteenth.



Until that time it was much easier to understand that these “books” were not books at all but, instead were letters instructing us on successful living. Even the History Lessons are there to teach not to commit the sins of our forefathers (how to live successfully).



The one rule I always try to remember about hermeneutics is, “No scripture, no passage of scriptures and, no collections of scriptures can be completely understood without the light of all scripture shinning on those words.”

I have sought scripture in many translations to understand the true meaning of my constant study and liking of the NIV Bible translation. I have listened to many videos of translations, even the proper name to call God. I said to myself, I have been calling our God, God, Sir, My Lord, and mostly Father and My Father and God still loves me and has never left me even though I can't understand even 1% of the bible scripture. I don't want to credit myself with even that much percent. I am a sheep, a servant, a believer, a child for God. Study scripture with that mindset, not to question, not to judge, not to make a definite solution or answer without knowing that God is speaking to you. Let God do the talking to you whether reading any scripture, listening to any word, seeing any miracle. Understand how wise scripture can help you see with you using a second thought, a moment of pause, a seeking to God for any understanding. If, you get nothing from it, move on and rest in God. Rest your spirit, your mind, your body and simmer your thoughts on the good things in your life.
