Same with me lol. I also find long, curly hair and short, straight blond hair that frames the face attractive.

I must be quite unusual to prefer black or dark brown hair over blonde!

Since I also have dark-brown to black hair (depending on my solar exposure or if I took a bleach bath). I'm well aware of the advantages. Like having naturally black eyelashes and black eyebrows means you don't even have to use make up to look good in the morning!

But it's not absolutely necessary for me. Hair color is probably the least of my priorities when looking for someone!

Yeah, it's the heart that I am mainly interested in when looking for someone. But, if they have a great heart / personality and one of those hairstyles, I would probably melt haha. And I can see preferring black / brown hair over blonde, all depends on the style. =)

My hair is thicker, and and I have to comb or brush it or else it will turn into this knot. I didn't realize it until it was too late. It was near the back of my scalp and the more I tried to tug and untie it, it just got worse. I actually had to cut under my hair to get it loose. Thankfully though you can't even see where I've cut.
I seriously want it cut shorter now (not too short) though so I don't get into that fix again.
If I don't use the right shampoo with conditioner and don't bush/comb my hair... it ends up naturally getting dreads... ^_^ I once spent over an hour brushing that out. So what I do now is I always use conditioner and the right shampoos and on a rare occasion I brush though I shouldn't (it damages my hair).. and most of the time I just finger comb my hair. I rarely get knots in my hair. If I do get some I can just finger comb them out.
The nice thing about shorter hair is it does take much less effort to comb/brush. I remember always being shocked after a haircut when I was a kid.

I have really dark brown (looks black most of the time), curly hair. I have 3 a/b curls, if you speak curl language LOL. It's taken a long time but it has grown out longer these past few years. But that length has cost me a lot of time and effort caring for my hair. I have wondered if I wouldn't like a shorter cut. Nothing too short, but short by my standards I guess (shoulder length). For now, I'm too chicken to do it because of the time it took to get this long.
In terms of maintenance... I won't go into it for your sakes. But just trust me when I say, curly life ain't easy. ^_^

You have beautiful hair. You could always try shorter hair to see if you like it. I know I don't like my hair short though... it gets too frizzy. I think my hair is either 2c or 3a. It is difficult to tell.

Yea, I might actually be biased if I saw the hairstyle I like in a woman! At least it's easy to work with hair! :)

Someone who speaks curl! my friend!
And I didn't realize how curly your hair is because it's so long. But thank you for the advice. You make a good point about the frizzy part. And it takes so long for my hair to grow, I really should be careful.

 The curl wave charts confuse me. But I think I most likely have 2c hair. Because my hair is more wave than curl. I will have the stray spiral curly hair When it gets "curly" it's just the big s waves. But its only like that if my hair dries slow. The biggest problem I have is frizz. So I use the anti frizz shampoo/conditioners which may contribute to less of the more defined waves. Some of those anti frizz shampoos make my hair more frizzy... My hair is just weird. It's frizzy but not straight and not curly. But I never will need to add volume to my hair... so I guess there are always pros and cons to each hair type. I need to learn more what works well.

On guys I'm not really picking about their hair. Long hair, short hair, no hair, whatever floats your boat. :p BUT!! I am partial to scruff. I like some sort of facial hair. I mean I'm into clean shaven as well, but yeah. I like some scruff going on. :D

So what about hair care products? I prefer body wash rather than shampoo or conditioner. But I've heard it's best to alternate hair care every week or so to keep one's hair from whatever. A woman told me that one day. I have no clue what she was talking about.

Here are some hairstyles that at some point I'd love to try:

I have naturally thick hair, I guess you could consider it wavy sometimes. I never really do anything with it except for trim or full on cut it every once in awhile. :sorry: I've always wondered though how it would be to get curly hair. :D I've never really curled my hair or gotten it done at the salon. But these are a few I might want to try:
