  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

That's dishonest, Outsider --- while I still believe that --- I started a much better thread after I learned that animals only contain a maximum of two alleles.

I took it to the Lord that night in prayer and told Him I need a better definition.

Thus my thread.

MrGoodBytes has preserved that secondary definition in his sig --- and it's just confusing you guys --- not me.

You are the second one to bring this up.

I read through it, and I saw you defining it as "a plant or animal at the top of God's taxon that contains all the genetic blueprints necessary to replenish the earth as God intended"

What does that even mean? What is a taxon? What is at the top of a taxon? And let's look at
Anax imperator or the Emperor dragonfly, what species of dragonfly is at the top of it's taxon? Or any other example for that matter.

Not on your life --- when your idle, unhelpful speculation leads to the conclusion that the Flood didn't happen --- that's where I come in.

C'mon AV, cowboy up and take me on in terms of the geology.

Don't piddle around with the people for whom geology is just a side-issue.

Take me on. Tiene los cojones, mi amigo?

Give me your best evidence.

This is not "Startling Evidence for Noah's Flood" as the authors claims. What the page does provide in startling evidence for the total absurdity of so-called Flood geology. I posted a page on the Absurd YEC claims about the Coconino Sandstones years ago which I just bumped. Unfortunately the beautiful pictures of fossilized animal and insect tracks and raindrop impression from the Coconino are no longer available. Old Earth Creationist Greg Neyman has a page on the geological absurdity of the nonsense on AiG Here and of course Thaumaturgy did a great job of demolishing it already on this thread.

The AiG page is written by two of the top "flood geologists" around and it could hardly provide a better example of the absolute nonsense of "Flood Geology"

Your definition of "kind" is still worthless because you have never explained what "God's Taxon" means.

So then we can't use it. It's worthless. Either we have to use a system based on what we can observe in nature or give up explaining anything and shout Goddidit. I see that you chose the later. Have fun in your ignorance.

Joe's car belongs to Joe.

Bob's car belongs to _____ ?

I can, however, from the Scriptures give you some animals that are on it, that aren't on man's taxon.

Don't use it, Vene --- I wouldn't if I was a taxonomist.

But on the other hand, don't say these animals didn't exist, either.

Like I told --- I think it was --- FB --- if it bothers you --- pencil them in where they belong.

Do you mean things like the Behemoth, unicorns and satyrs? Or do you mean how locusts and grasshoppers are considered two different kinds?

OK. I didn't think you could.

Go play with the kiddies. When you think you can handle a real geologic discussion, little man, come on up. I'll be here.

Believe me, Thaumaturgy, when it comes to discussions with an atheist, I would rather talk to you than anyone else.

And I mean that.

I don't like your sarcasm at times, but I'm sure you don't like mine, either.

I'll know where to go if I have a legitimate question.

;)

Interesting. It's not often that you get to see a grown man admitting to believing in unicorns and other mythical beasts.

Grown men wrote about it.
