In reading about entropy just now (symbolized by the letter H), I came across this definition:

A measure of the loss of information in a transmitted message.

Thus I would like to submit this as the equation for the entropy of the Bible:

• ΔH[sub](Bible)[/sub]=0

In English, it simply states that the change [Δ] in the entropy [H] of the Bible equals zero.

Put another way, there is no change in the loss of information in the Bible.

Yeah, sorry about that. He said entropy was the heat death of the universe and I had to correct him. Turns out, he just meant to say maximum entropy, which is close enough that I'd let it slide. It appears that's why AV generates so much feedback, he gets the details so gloriously wrong.

You know guys, it occurs to me that we could make a guess at the quality of silver ore from Israel, and figure out what the silver content would be after going through 7 ancient refinements. From that we could point out that scripture says the bible is from something like 70% to 95% pure. Furthermore, what generation wrote that down? And do we have any bibles from that generation?

And to refute your original thought, in three little letters: KJB (That's the king jame's bible) But I'd like to point out for everyone that this is all about entropy as it pertains to information theory. This is really only good to data compression, and it's upper limits. Entropy in thermodynamics is it's own thing.

The heat death is a possible final state of the universe, in which it has "run down" to a state of no thermodynamic free energy to sustain motion or life. In physical terms, it has reached maximum entropy.

Entropy is actually a fairly complex concept tho and a quick quote mine for what you think is supporting evidence for odd theories isnt the same thing as understanding it.
