It’s interesting to think about the significance of the coming end of the Times of the Gentiles as spoken of by Daniel and Jesus in Luke 21.

For the nearly 2000 years spanning 70ad to 1967 - Jerusalem was literally trodden underfoot by every gentile empire that came along. As Jesus illustrates in the parable of the wicked vinedressers - God allowed this. As one Gentile Kingdom became too wicked and decided to withhold God’s due from Him - he would overthrow them and lease it out to another. But the time appears now to be close. While Israel is certainly entangled politically with many Gentile nations - they are sovereign and do in fact hold Jerusalem...

It’s particularly significant because it points toward official Adoption of the Church into the vine of Israel.... Micah 5:3 - the church will officially rejoin Judaism... not the other way around.

The “mystery” is that there’s no mechanism for this to happen - either within Orthodox Judaism... or within Orthodox Christianity... But we know God says it is coming..... so it will.

My biggest concern is that Christians won’t accept this adoption in a real life sense. Adoption means you become part of the family.... You take the family name... And that means you participate in what the family does... And you live by the house rules.... We are still a long way off..... It’s as if the prodigal son likes the idea of coming home - but he still wants to live like he is in the far country. No.... You are here now and these are the house rules.

Micah 5:3 Commentary - John Gill's Exposition of the Bible

What parts of Messianic Judaism do you think any gentile believer would reject?

Regular gentile Christians are taught to reject celebrating Jewish holidays. In fact - if you look at both the Christian liturgical calendars and the holiday celebrations - they are intentionally “re-jiggered” so they don’t land on Jewish holidays or even land on the same scripture readings. Easter never falls on Passover - when it should always. Pentecost doesn’t fall on Shavot.... Christmas always misses Hanukkah. The vast majority of churches don’t celebrate any communion at passover.... etc...

Then - the celebration gentile Christians practice is intentionally anti-Jewish. For example - it’s not easy to get a Jew excited about erecting and decorating a tree inside his house and then having a celebration around it... or have a holiday celebrated with a bunch of chicks/bunnies/eggs and a big ham meal.... That’s sort of specifically prohibited and it’s intentionally designed that way....

We are also taught specifically that the law does not apply to us - that’s just ceremonial stuff without any actual benefit... or if there is a benefit - it’s purely 100% “carnal”...... In fact - the Christian church made a big stink about large scale adoption of circumcision of infant boys starting in the 1940’s to combat uterine and cervical cancer in women... And they famously stood in the way of hygienic washing practices to stop plagues in Europe... This has been mainline church doctrine for well over 1500 years now.... This sort of stuff dies hard.

The irony is that many regular gentile Christians want to practice it when it’s not prohibited because it’s specifically called out in the Bible.

And interestingly - many gentile messianic Christians find themselves there because their lives synch up to the Jewish calendar and even dietary restrictions like intolerance of pork.... Even so far as to be going through trouble in your life and there it is - the Orthodox Parshat scripture readings directly answer the question and provide specific guidance.. over and over and over... Like God is trying to explain something specific but nobody they talk to has the decoder ring....

Why would it always, it NEVER should! Passover is the day Yeshua died, Yom HaBikkurim is when He rose from the dead 3 days later. Pentecost is always on a Sunday, rabbinic Judaism interprets the Bible verses differently.

Do you think that will be a difficult one to re-learn?

Christmas trees and chicks/bunnies/eggs are cultural things. The Jews have a lot of cultural things for their holidays, too.
Combining Christians and Jews religion I think would be easier than combining their cultures.

Do you think that will be a difficult one to re-learn?

For some it will be easy and for others it will be hard.

For me it is hard in the cultural sense - it’s completely different than the old comfortable shoes of what I already know.

It’s exciting on the other hand though - as I really like the idea of presenting myself before The Lord for a scheduled audience where He guarantees his presence. This is the big difference to me between Gentile Christian holidays and the Moadim - the Audience before The Lord...

Since the "partial hardening" Romans 11:25 has not yet lifted, I would say that time is not ended yet.

Soon, very soon, Praise G_D! All Israel will be saved as Their Messiah returns to fight for them with a sword coming out of His mouth to slay all His enemies.

Revelation 1:16
16In his right hand he held seven stars, and coming out of his mouth was a sharp, double-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance.

Revelation 2:16
16Repent therefore! Otherwise, I will soon come to you and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.

Revelation 19:15
15Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. "He will rule them with an iron scepter." He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty.
