CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

All right, here you go! I have decided to make us an official group. I am not quite sure why I decided this, or under what authority, but if anybody really has problems with it, then tell me. Anyway, our group shall now be known as I Quettarturi. This is Quenya for "The Masters of Words". I am by no means a master, especially of the Elven tongues, but it was the best I could come up with. Of course, since we are a group, and because I had time on my hands, I also designed us a logo. You can put it in your sigs or just look at it or print it out and use it for a dartboard or whatever, but here it is:

Yeah, the redesign did seem to take a while, but being as I am a webmaster myself, I can tell you that this stuff takes no little time to do. Especially a site this size.

As far as the name, it is always fun coming up with Elven names for sites and for people. I do it all the time.

Oh. *Laughs* The name thing is just a coincidence. Luthien is one of the many characters I like in the Silmarillion, so I often use the Quenya version of her nickname as my username.morvaltur said:

Yes, true. I mean, when you do not make up your own names, and use names/words from a book, there is bound to be someone else that uses that as well. I think I have found two other people over the entire internet that use my Elven first name, Kaimelar. And then use it as part of a longer name, so there is no confusion, since I often use it with my Elven last name.
