Then there is all the fraud and waste. How many people are getting money from government programs who are actually able-bodied? Aren't we doing them a disservice when we do something for them that they could do for themselves? Wouldn't they be better off and wouldn't society be better off if people who are capable of working didn't get handouts?

Ya know...multiple posts don't help you any...

"fraud and waste"...you mean Halliburton? Enron? Yeah...OK...

Listen, I've had enough of your drivel and you're going to join the ignored bunch. As I've said...I am a retired military wife. I've lived the life. I've seen it up close my entire term on planet earth. My father was an officer, my husband was enlisted. Why don't you just stop now while you're still behind.

I was an AH-64 Apache pilot. My brother flew huey gunships in Vietnam. There are 18 years between us. My father served in the Navy in WWII. I could go on and list all of the members of my family who served in the military, including a Navy Admiral. I can actually go back to the Revolutionary War.

Do you think because you had a little time as a military wife, you have some rank or knowledge the rest of us don't have?

I was never in favor of what went on with Enron or Halliburton. I'm opposed to cronyism as I stated before.

Do two wrongs make a right? So, corporate fraud and waste is bad, but handing out millions to people to stay at home instead of work is fine with you?

Social Justice Christians - You might as well call yourselves Marxist Christians. Why don't you? You're for the forced redistribution of wealth aren't you?

Read the book of Acts...something about the Christians held everything in common...hmm...sounds sorta socialistic doesn't it????

I'm tired of you...you flew an Apache...good for you. My father was Japanese occupation force, served in Korea and in VietNam. I saw the body bags at Dover AFB as a kid when my dad was stationed there. I remember the body counts. Why were we there? It was a civil war. Our "great leaders" then had no exit strategy, just like Dubya in Iraq. My son is suffering the aftereffects of Dubya's greed. I praise God he's at least in one piece with all his limbs where they should be. However, it's pretty sad that a 26 year old kid has been rated as disabled due to your precious republican president's greed and utter stupidity.

And regarding "pro-life"...it's bad to kill a fetus but it's ok to kill women and children as long as they aren't 'murikans??? Huh?

You want small government? Keep them out of who can marry, out of reproductive choices.

As you can see from my signature, we have 12 children. 12. Why? Because every last one of them were wanted and we could support them. We stopped having children when it became obvious that my husband was too ill to continue his career. However, that was our CHOICE. That makes me "Pro-choice". We chose a big family. Other folks should have the same choice to determine their family size. That's the definition of "pro-choice". I support everyone having the same choice to determine when and if they are going to have children. Its that simple.

Why do you "conservatives" have such a hang up with what goes on in people's bedrooms, with things that should be personal decisions? If its wrong, let God take care of it, not you, not the government.

Over 1 TRILLION dollars has been spent on the bullhockey "wars". Do you know that the money tossed away on that could have ended poverty all over the world, renewed the crumbling infrastructure here in the US and pretty much guaranteed everyone in the USA a 50K/yr income? Oh, but that's a redistribution of wealth and that's socialism and that's just wrong.

Your priorities are jacked all up.

Hmm...If I didn't know better, I would think that you are saying that a fetus isn't a person? At what point does a fetus become a person then? At birth? If you sanction the killing of the fetus AFTER it becomes a person (whenever that is by whatever your definition is) then wouldn't that be considered murder? Are you OK with murder?

King James Bible
Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

BEFORE! BEFORE! Hmm....to know someone that someone would have to be a person, wouldn't they? So if you were a person BEFORE you were formed in the belly and before you were born....that would mean that a fetus is a person? Seems logical to me.

So what is it that you're saying? Because the person happens to be in the belly of another person its OK to murder that person? I'm having trouble following that logic. Can you explain that to me? I don't think God is in favor of murder is he?

I agree we are hated. I agree that the world wants to live in darkness and that we are the light of this world.

Unless I have misunderstood you, I do not agree however, that we have no rights in this world.

The founders of the U.S.A. understood that we have certain inalienable rights granted us by our creator.

I believe the scriptures support that idea.

Are you perhaps saying that those who hate Christians trample on those rights as though they don't exist?

The historical martyrs would disagree with all that.

Hmmmm yes....disagree they may. Only one must agree and it is He whom I seek to please. Opinions you may have, though they matter not to me.

Perhaps you would have liked the Gran Mufti?

Did I ever claim to be a conservative? It seems you might be making an assumption. My ideologies know not the bounds of the boxes you like to place them in for your convenience.

I don't think military experience has any relevance as to our discussion, but you seem determined that it does.

If you're going to pull rank, I would say that a guy with 12 years of military experience outranks a gal who was married to a military man.

Seeing body bags makes you an expert?

You do realize that people get killed in wars, don't you? In the Bible you will find stories of wars. You want to talk about Vietnam?

Doesn't the Bible say to love your neighbor? How much do you love your neighbor if you do nothing while he is slain? I'm not suggesting that we can save everyone or that we should police the world.

However, it was Kennedy who took us into Vietnam, LBJ who ramped it up, and Nixon who brought us out.

To Kennedy's credit, we were fighting the spread of communism there. Remember the Bay of Pigs? Are you suggesting we must always wait until our country is invaded before we can justifiably attack? An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

If you're going to wait to be invaded before taking action, you might as well not have a military. Of course, now our country has been invaded by communists on the inside. The White House is full of them, to include the Commander in Chief.

I heard Obama say with his own mouth that the U.S. Constitution is a flawed document. Yet HE swore to uphold it. How does that work?

Nothing about Acts sounds socialistic. This is what you fail to understand. The Christians in the book of acts did not vote to have their money or possessions confiscated by the government and then handed to able-bodied people who refuse to work.

Under Obama the national debt has increased over 6 Trillion dollars. What could we have done with that money? The majority of our money goes to fund social programs, not wars.

Speaking of wars, Obama wanted desperately to take us to war with Syria. He only backed off after extreme public pressure. How would you have felt about a war with Syria?

Back to the founding fathers. It is a lie that most of them were deists at best. That is a lie spawned by Satan himself.

SIXTH PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES; DIPLOMAT; SECRETARY OF STATE; U. S. SENATOR; U. S. REPRESENTATIVE; “OLD MAN ELOQUENT”; “HELL-HOUND OF ABOLITION”

My hopes of a future life are all founded upon the Gospel of Christ and I cannot cavil or quibble away [evade or object to]. . . . the whole tenor of His conduct by which He sometimes positively asserted and at others countenances [permits] His disciples in asserting that He was God.6

I . . . [rely] upon the merits of Jesus Christ for a pardon of all my sins.9

The name of the Lord (says the Scripture) is a strong tower; thither the righteous flee and are safe [Proverbs 18:10]. Let us secure His favor and He will lead us through the journey of this life and at length receive us to a better.

No, not in the least. But people who have fuzzy ideas about what socialism is and entails often make that claim.

Socialism is a governmental system, not a voluntary system chosen by individuals. And it is based upon its own non-religious system of values. If you find in scripture where Jesus advocated the take-over of government on the part of his disciples, get back to us.
