Then we still have the issue of level and flat not being the same thing. Then we will assume the accuracy was good enough to determine the difference and not bog down in minutia.

No, I covered all that in the OP. 1000 people from around the globe
tested the Landing Strip and declared it flat and level. In Science,
majority thinking rules.
I think at this point the next time you say anything about what you think Science is or how it works,
1000 people using faulty methodology is still 1000 people using faulty methodology. Marbles cannot get you "flat", they can only get you "level".
To better illustrate that one I provided a carpenters level that circles the globe in a ring end to end.
Everyone looking at the level proclaims it to be the flattest surface they have ever created or
measured. They decided it was flat enough to use to build a pyramid, the largest structure
conceived by man. Or a runway 5 miles long.

The only way they would do that is if they were incredibly ignorant of how levels, gravity, and geography work. Or they consistently insisted on mistaking "level" (that is, perpendicular to the direction of gravity) for "flat", probably because they were trying to play some stupid word game or something. To better illustrate that one I provided a carpenters level that circles the globe in a ring end to end.

Levels don't determine flatness, they determine levelness. That's why they are called levels. This is, what, the 6th time this has been explained to you?Level is not the same thing as flat.Levels tell you if something is level. They don't tell you if something is flat.

A level surface is one to which a plumb line is orthogonal.Repeating nonsense does not improve it's value.
So the earth is a roundish globe. Gotcha. You're still playing very tedious word games and I still don't get what the purpose of all this is.To better illustrate that one I provided a carpenters level that circles the globe in a ring end to end.

A level surface is one to which a plumb line is orthogonal.
A flat surface is one for which all lines perpendicular to the surface are parallel.
Meanings, they help you know what words are.
If your argument boils down to "some people don't know the difference between flat and level" you can dispense with all the other nonsense and just use yourself as a case study.True enough for geeks.
But humans think differently.
The scriptures were not written for techno-geeks alone.
That's why the description of the earth sticks to flat and level as most people think it applies.

...But this doesn't help at all, because the bible doesn't say "the earth is flat", it speaks of the four corners, and of seeing every kingdom on earth from a high point. That's why the description of the earth sticks to flat and level as most people think it applies.

I'm glad I didn't read through 15 pages of this inane thread. Is the point of it suggesting that any descriptions of a flat earth in the bible are factual because we can make or find flat / level areas on the earth's surface?
