If your argument boils down to "some people don't know the difference between flat and level" you can dispense with all the other nonsense and just use yourself as a case study.

I'm glad I didn't read through 15 pages of this inane thread. Is the point of it suggesting that any descriptions of a flat earth in the bible are factual because we can make or find flat / level areas on the earth's surface?

Yes, it uses the language of the day....not techno geek language.
The same lesson to learn all through scripture.

So you need some additional help from the scriptures.
I'm guessing you would prefer that only the kingdoms
-within the line of site from a particular elevation above the earth
were visible, with the rest of the kingdoms over the line-of-sight horizon.

No. Because the earth is perceived as flat no matter where we stand on it.
And four corners are mentioned, because people can walk in four directions.

One person tried to show how obvious it was that the earth is round,
they used a solar eclipse as their best proof. It's a rare sight, but not
convincing for the point.

I wouldn't disagree with a lot of what you say but I'm still failing to grasp the point you're making. We know the earth is spherical, we know close up it can look flat. Is this thread here to defend the bible against fact that some people think it says the earth is flat? It doesn't seem like a particularly valid criticism to me - the biblical quote you used above just seems like a figure of speech to me.
