You and Jason prove the futility of these kind of debates. The law on stone got transferred to tablets if human hearts( 2cor3:3). I've given you examples of that. You refuse to accept it.
Thou shalt not admit to error
Happy birthday

You haven't.
You said:Besides, I'm still waiting for him to wish me a Happy Birthday.
You show you are a letter from Christ, the result if our ministry, written not with ink, but the Spirit if the living God, not on tablets of stone( TC) but on tablets of human hearts 2cor3:3If you want to make up your own commandments, you might want to keep it, yourself.
BTWThank you. I have my party to get ready for, so gotta run.
Many times when I discuss Eternal Security, I hear two different messages. One message says a true Christian is defined by loving Jesus and by being more Christ like. Yet, another message within Eternal Security says you can die in the unrepentant sin of lying, or the sin of unforgiveness, etc. and still be saved.
What doth thou sayeth?
...
BTW
Why not discuss this with Jason. There is a difference of 1048 commands, between what you believe is placed on a Christians heart and he believes are placed there under his law of righteousness. I wish someone would explain to Jason to be justified under the law requires perfect obedience of it. Anyone who truly cared about him would tell him that, wouldn't they?
Then we have SBC, let's quote him for he keeps saying people state what he hasn't written
Quote:
I am born of God because I am saved and born again. And scripture proclaims one born of God does not sin, cannot commit sin, sinneth not. Don't you agree with scripture? I do
Unquote.
So according to sbcs understanding of scripture, he does not, nor can he commit sin.
That's very interesting indeed.
I'm not sure whether you agree with him or not. In a thread a while back you appeared to agree with that statement, at other times you didn't appear to.
Anyways SBC may proclaim he faultlessly, without slip does not commit sin/cannot commit sin/ fully and perfectly observes the law placed within him, but he's either telling porkies, or he is blinded to the truth isn't he!
But how can anyone be blinded to the truth concerning sin if the law is written in their mind and placed on their heart? They must know when they transgress that law!
Anyways, it amazes me how so many cling to a righteousness of faultlessly observing the letter that kills/ the law of sin and death. Crazy I would say, but there you go
Hope you enjoyed your party!
Oh no, Jason and I are not close, he believes the only law that is not part of his law of righteousness us non applicable OC law that could be faultlessly obeyed. Paul clearly shows us the Christian is not under a law of righteousness concerning the moral law in rom ch7I don't really think you and Jason are as far apart as you think. Much has do to semantics on this and other forums having to do with the words "law," or commandments."
There are Old Testament LAW AND COMMANDMENTS. And New Testament LAW AND COMMANDMENTS. They are both based on the original and eternal laws of God, to love God with all your heart (OT), and Jesus adding to it to love your neighbor as yourself.
Even the LAW of the Spirit of life in Christ which has freed me from the law of sin and death is talking a LAW of righteousness. The difference in the OT law of righteousness, and the NT law of righteousness is the first is based on the letter, and kept with our weak carnal nature (Not!), and the second is kept with the power of God with His laws written on our conscience. That is how the fruit of the Spirit in us prevents us from breaking the eternal laws of God.

Glad you now admit you believe a law of righteousness exists, alongside Jason. Paul disagrees with you both of course.
But now a righteousness APART from law has been made known...
Rom3:21
Not a righteousness apart from some law, but LAW.
Anyways, Jesus said he did not come to abolish the law( matt5:17) Paul tells us the law on stone got transferred onto tablets if human hearts( 2cor3:3) you refuse to believe Christ or Paul in this regard, so no wonder you take no notice of me either.
BTW
Love fulfilled the law under the OC. Love God and love your neighbour, but that didn't mean only two laws/ commandments existed did it
You gotta be kidding me!!Show me where the OC said to love your neighbor. I had thought it was part of the "love God with all your heart" scriptures, but the ones I found didn't have that wording. That was why Jesus could say I write to you a new commandment to love your neighbor as yourself. But you found it in the OT? I'd like to know where.
You gotta be kidding me!!
Teacher, which is the greatest commandment?
Jesus replied: love the Lord your God with with all your heart, and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.
AND THE SECOND IS LIKE IT. Love your neighbour as yourself
Matt22:37-39
Im sure someone can tell you where in Leviticus love your neighbour is stated
Do not seek revenge, or bear a grudge against one of your people. BUT LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOUR AS YOURSELFShow me where the OC said to love your neighbor. I know it is in the NT, but I couldn't find it in the Old. Don't bother helping me, I'll find it myself, and try Leviticus first. Thanks.
Do not seek revenge, or bear a grudge against one of your people. BUT LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOUR AS YOURSELF
Lev19:18

Leviticus 19:18 “Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.”
In Christ

Well I don't read Leviticus often so I can't go straight to chapter and verse!Great. Thank you.
