As 1 John says, the righteous do righteously...by lovin Christ and loving our brethren. When we do this, we cannot sin. Yet, if we do we take our sins to Christ.

We are under Christ's righteousness, this is the only righteousness that will save us.

I agree.

Can you explain to me why you had said Jason is preaching what the apostles preached. He isn't.

If I'm mistaken, I apologize. I'll search and find who did.

Its not a mess to those who study, and have the mind of Christ concerning the scriptures they study, who rightly divide the word of Truth.

What Jesus said to and meant, was Peter was opposing God's will, which is what the word Satan means.
The problem is you do not seem to be saying that or clarifying that in your posts.

Col 1:13 giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the light. 13He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of His beloved Son, 14in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.…
No where does it say God our Father is going to pick us up and put us back into the kingdom of darkness.
That being said... There are those in the Church who are tares who speak "Christianese" but are false Believers they will be thrown into the fire... Sad that people are lost to God.

The bible says....many are called but few are chosen.

Who does the choosing?

In Christ
Daniel
I think than we would have to quantify how many is many and how few are few.

IMHO, since God has essentially called all of mankind, many are most and few are the acceptors.

You have to read all of scripture. Righteousness first comes from Jesus as a gift. Romans 5:17, however, it doesn't stop there. 1 John 3:7 says those who practice righteousness are righteous. But it must be the righteous acts from the Holy Spirit. That is called walking in the Spirit. So it is BOTH.

This is why faith without works is dead.

Whole false doctrines are based on scripture taken out of context of the whole
Faith without works is indeed dead faith. However, works do not save you, and works do not justify you. Your faith that justifies you is proven to be living faith by what you then do.
Righteousness from first to last is faith in Christ( rom1:17)

I haven't read everything Jason has written, but I remember saying that. Read 1 John 3. That is what he teaches. Do you know of any verses that contradict this chapter? I know of many modern teachers that do. I go with scripture too.

Absolutely, but true Christians have power not to willfully sin. Why?

The righteousness they practice is from God, not of themselves. We can do nothing without Christ who strengthens us. That is grace/power/strength

A Baptist minister of fifty years put it very well:

If we followed after the Holy Spirit every minute of our lives we would never commit sin. the reality of which escapes us all

It depends where people set the bar of God's laws doesn't it!
When i was a teenager I knew impure thoughts were wrong and feared they would condemn me to hell. I was then truly shocked, when I heard other young people in the church( and children of let's say the stalwarts of the church) casually laughing and joking about such matters.
Some believe as long as you don't get drunk, swear, have extra marital affairs or smoke you virtually have a free pass into heaven. Their sins are minor minor sins so they don't much count.
Some adults excuse what goes on, on the inside as just being human. Others consider it sin.
It's where the individual sets the bar isn't it.
In my view, anything less than perfection is sin. And under the terms of the the NC, I don't see how anyone can claim sins of ignorance, especially on these kinds of websites lol. The Bible has been very well read!

I remember admiring my girlfriend's teenage son, who was popular in school. He set himself out to be a leader, not a follower. He remained a virgin and didn't care at all who knew it. And as a leader he surrounded himself with those who wanted the same things.

Of course, his mother had a lot to do with his morals. We all went to the same church. That church didn't pervert the gospel down to outward attire, smoking, drinking, makeup or such. These weren't even mentioned. But the pastor would talk to anyone who word too revealing clothes. One movie star he asked to button up her blouse.

It's wonderful he wanted to remain a virgin. However, that would not stop him committing sin where girls were concerned would it.
BTW.
I think Paul and James would agree with me. Anything less than perfection is sin. James2:10&gal3:10&11

As I said, practice makes perfect. It was nice to see a young man full of the Holy Spirit.

Do you think Saul the pharisee slept with women outside of marriage? I don't myself. Yet he still said sin, through the commandment: thou shalt not covet brought condemnation to him.
Again, it's where you set the bar isn't it

Jesus argued with the Pharisees who added many doctrines of man. Christians can do the same thing with outward appearances. It is the inside of us that God wants perfection.

I remember going to my mother's SDA church when I visited her and heard the pastor say, "If you wear jewelry that just means you don't love Jesus and you are going to hell."
