Yes, but still even though he could no longer have the office of apostle, doesn't mean that he couldn't be saved, seeing as he did repent. But he killed himself, so his repentance was for naught. Scripture foretells the end result.

Even Jeffrey Dahmer, some of the Manson followers, Son of Sam, and Charles Coleson, to name just a few became Christians in prison after their crimes.

There is unbelievable power in the blood of Jesus, if we choose to apply it.
He was sorry for what he did, I agree. He didn't have repentance unto the knowledge of truth. Jesus and Him crucified. Judas was guilty of unbelief.

As far as Peter being satan. That is the most rediculas thing I have heard. That's like saying, the Bible says God is a rock, so God must be a rock.

In Christ
Daniel

I agree.

The Lord was saying to Peter, get behind me Satan, because Peter was opposing God's will for His life.

Just as when He said to the 12:

68 But Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. 69 Also we have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
70 Jesus answered them, “Did I not choose you, the twelve, and one of you is a devil?” 71 He spoke of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon, for it was he who would betray Him, being one of the twelve.
John 6:68-71

  • Did I not choose you, the twelve, and one of you is a devil?

Was Judas Iscariot a human being, or was he demon; devil.

The context tells us what is being referred to here, concerning the definition and meaning of the word devil.

Devil - Strong's G1228 - diabolos
  1. prone to slander, slanderous, accusing falsely
    1. a calumniator, false accuser, slanderer,
  2. metaph. applied to a man who, by opposing the cause of God, may be said to act the part of the devil or to side with him

I see you didn't/couldn't answer the question, so I will reciprocate

You explain the scripture you quoted, just as I explained the scripture I quoted.

Here is the law of righteousness: He who practices righteousness is righteous.

Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. 1 John 3:7

Explanation of the law of righteousness: He who practices righteousness is righteous.

If Christ is the end of the law for righteousness, then why do you keep asking everyone if the perfectly keep the law.

Do you yourself perfectly keep the law, if so, why, since Christ is the end of the law for righteousness.

Again, opinion with no scripture.

Your whole theology seems to be based in the opinion of man.
I will apologise to you. I shouldn't have pointed out you only had a shallow understanding of the letter of scripture, you didn't understand the heart of the message contained in it. Clearly this has upset your pride, shown by your rather blustering and animated statements. So I apologise.
Best thing is for me to put you on ignore, which I will now do

Correct, Judas wasn't a devil. He was following after his father, the devil.

You jumped into the middle of a discussion. He is fighting against those that get their righteousness from other than Christ. They are righteous by their works.

"Jesus and him crucified" is a New Covenant belief. Judas died before that was a reality.

Read the story of Cain and Able, Able offered an unblemished lamb, he looked forward to his redeemer. Jesus called him righteous. Cain offered the fruit of his field, the works of his hands.

You have to read all of scripture. Righteousness first comes from Jesus as a gift. Romans 5:17, however, it doesn't stop there. 1 John 3:7 says those who practice righteousness are righteous. But it must be the righteous acts from the Holy Spirit. That is called walking in the Spirit. So it is BOTH.

This is why faith without works is dead.

Whole false doctrines are based on scripture taken out of context of the whole

Although, if knowing Jesus Christ Himself and being His disciple for two years wasn't enough to convince Judas than what more would there have been to say. Know what I'm saying.

Judas had one of the only close-up living views and experiences, God with us.

Right. Being a new creation all our righteousness and good deeds come from God, not us. That is the righteousness we walk upon. His. Alone.

Please do me one favor, reread 1 john. Read it as a whole. Read it with this in mind, love God, love our brothers and sisters. When we do what Christ did and taught, it is about love. This is what Jesus taught from the beginning.

Judas had one of the only close-up living views and experiences, God with us.

But Peter denied Jesus three times. Denied/betrayed what is the difference? Peter repented and didn't kill himself. Judas repented and did.

I'm just curious if Judas had not killed himself, with God's foreknowledge would the Psalms have been written differently? Or would Judas have been forced to kill himself based on the prophecy. I don't think so. He did what he did, and knowing that, the prophecy stands.

As 1 John says, the righteous do righteously...by lovin Christ and loving our brethren. When we do this, we cannot sin. Yet, if we do we take our sins to Christ.

We are under Christ's righteousness, this is the only righteousness that will save us.
