Those of us who believe it, believe that it is backed by Scripture.
I NEVER knew you. I NEVER knew you. Not "I used to know you but you became lost again so I don't know you now.
Thanks for the scripture, it will help prove the truth. First the OSAS lie sounds simular to the passage in
Genesis 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
Now for the term Jesus used here. How many times has someone said to me... "I'm tickled pink to see you" or "I'm thrilled to death you're here" and no one ever really turned pink nor fell over dead.
As for the passage you used... "I never knew you" it comes from the 7th chapter of Matthew, and maybe you should read the entire chapter.
Now go to...
Hebrews 10:17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
Are you telling me God cannot forget?
Ezekiel 18:21
But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
Ezekiel 18:24
But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed,
and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.
I assume now you will tell me... "that's the Old Testament" so if we cut out verse 24 then also we cut out verse 21 and no one can be forgiven.
The New Testament version of Eze 18:24 is in...
2 Peter 2:22
But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.
...and in many other places if we read the Bible with an open mind and do not have a pre-concieved idea that alters the truth.
