I guess the serpent could have meant "cashier at the 7-11" but religious people tend to see a parabolic reference to the deceiver in Genesis.

I just view the serpent as a literal serpent, it does say Adam and Eve could communicate with the animals freely

You will notice that in the chronology of the story the "beast of the field" wasn't a serpent thingy until after the condemnation. Serpent is an after the fact reference term. Jesus refered to him as "the Prince of this world."

Yes, My faith in Jesus is squarely on his intrinsic authority, not predictions.

He has no intrinsic authority that you could substantiate with actual evidence

Not true, while Jesus said no sign would be given, he told the unbelieving Pharisee's that he would prove his authority by resurrecting himself from the dead. He did.

You believe by faith that he did.

Atheists need evidence that Jesus did resurrect.

That is the crossroads we find ourselves at.

Supposedly, there is no evidence it actually happened

I agree, apart from the men and women who would subsequently give their lives for him, his immediate associates gave up everything, left their previous religion, their meager fortunes, endured relentless persecutions, were stoned, crucified and thrown to the lions all to perpetuate what would be a blasphemous lie, there is no proof.

God is not hiding from you, he wants you to find him sincerely, through experiential truth realization, not mere miracles or second hand accounts.

People are willing to die for stuff that isn't true you know. I can't even think of a religion that doesn't have some sort of martyr

Except that Tylenol is real and what you speak of only occurs inside your imagination.

And how do you know any of this to be true? Do you have a recording, a video, a photo? Or is a trip to Walmart better recorded than this phlegm you wish people to base their lives on?

Lucifer lost faith that his parents were Sons of the Universal Father, in his proud mind he conceived that they were lying to him or deluded as so many arrogant atheist claim.

But they weren't sons of the universal father, remember? You said celestial beings have parents... so they would have parents. Or are you saying the Universal Father had them on his own?

Eventuated Divine beings, high and low are told who created them I suppose, but again, conceit can allude a mans logic, a person really can believe that life just happened.

You say it can allude a man's logic. Is Lucifer a man now?

I don't know why you keep implying that God should be obvious to a celestial when God is not obvious to you?

I believe there is a Creator. Whatever trippy god this is that you're describing is certainly not it.

The Heaven's Gate cult gave up all of those same things for their beliefs.

"On March 19–20, 1997, Marshall Applewhite taped himself speaking of mass suicide and asserted "it was the only way to evacuate this Earth." After claiming that a spacecraft was trailing Comet Hale–Bopp, Applewhite convinced 38 followers to commit suicide so that their souls could board the supposed craft. Applewhite believed that after their deaths, an unidentified flying object (UFO) would take their souls to another "level of existence above human", which he described as being both physical and spiritual."
Heaven's Gate (religious group) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

Do you think that their sacrifice is evidence for their claims?

God is not hiding from you, he wants you to find him sincerely, through experiential truth realization, not mere miracles or second hand accounts.

If I said the same thing of Zeus, would you be convinced?

How can you determine with any credibility, what Jesus told anyone?

Yes, I know, that's not "proof" per say, but Jews aren't known for leaving Judaism to follow a wild eyed mystic laymen who often seemed at odds with Judaic theology, was open to "Gentile dogs" , broke the ritualistic rules, hung out with poor sinners, etc. And have you ever noticed how the apostles are often clueless anti-hero's, they all run and hide while the women go out and are the first to believe in the resurrection???? I'm a man, I know men, even the most spiritual among us still have a tad bit of ego, we aint goanna write a fraud and have women being first to believe while we are hiding out at the Super-8 !!!!

But hey, maybe a women wrote that

No, that's more an observation on my part, it's not the basis of the faith gift that I have from God. I just wonder sometimes how pessimist reason things out. The NT is to messed up to be a fraud.
