ABC, NBC, and CBS are considered mainstream. They’re supposed to be neutral. Obviously they’re not
Since when? The fairness doctrine required they present both sides but there was never a requirement of neutrality.

You think that they present both sides objectively?
No. They are no longer required to do that after the removal of the fairness doctrine. Oddly many conservatives on this board were in favor of its removal

There haven't been neutral news programs since Walter Cronkite did the news.

I agree that none of the top US 6 news networks are neutral: ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, CNN and MSNBC

The "mess" is in the eyes of Republicans and Republican media.

85% of Democrats are celebrating.

Actually, recent polling shows that only 54% of Democrats think that Biden was right to drop out of the race. But I'm sure the other 46% will shut up and get in line soon enough.

Democratic respondents were slightly less approving of his decision, with 54% saying he made the right choice and 33% saying he made the wrong choice. Twelve percent were undecided.

Is anyone old enough to remember when it was deemed a "right-wing conspiracy theory" that Democrats would pull Biden off the ticket at the last minute?

The difference between a conspiracy theory and the truth is usually about 3 years.

You truly believe that the right-wing media was totally complicit when the reported that Biden was sharp and unaffected by declining cognitive skills? Is the right-wing media really that incompetent? Personally, I don't think so. BTW, the NY papers had lots of stories over the last few months.

The right-wing media did report that Biden was in decline. But legacy media ran cover for Biden. Certainly you're not already trying to memory hole all the "fact-checks" and media talking heads that said Biden was fine, are you?

None was more egregious than Joe Scarborough, who famously said:

"Start your tape right now 'cause I'm about to tell you the truth. And F U if you can't handle the truth. This version of Biden, intellectually, analytically, is the best Biden ever. Not a close second."
When did he say this? March 6, 2024. 113 days before Biden's spectacular collapse on the debate stage. Watch it for yourself. It starts at the 2:00 mark.

WHAT REALLY IS YOUR ISSUE?
Shouldn't you be celebrating your belief that independents now know the truth and will reject the Democrats in the coming election?

As I've said, I have no idea how the independents will vote this November. No one does. Only time will tell.

Or, are you really upset that Trump won't have an easy win over Biden?

Apparently you've mistaken me for a Trump supporter.

Or, do you believe that had Biden dropped out earlier, Trump could have had an easier opponent than Harris?

Actually, if Biden had not run in the primaries, perhaps a candidate may have emerged that I could support. But because of the Democrat's big lie, I'm left with Trump and Harris. Talk about a lose-lose proposition.

I suspect that you just don't believe Trump, who for months has said that Harris would be even easier to beat than Biden. [BTW, that's also what the polls said].

I also suspect that you don't believe the nonsense about the "mess" that has resulted, given that Harris already has pledges of support from almost everyone including a majority of elected delegates. The 2024 convention will show the Democrats even more united then in 2020.

Apparently you've mistaken me for someone who cares about Trump's political prospects.

Also, here's a Quinnipiac poll. That has some very different results.

Sixty-two percent of voters think President Biden dropping out of the presidential race is the right thing to do, while 27 percent think it is the wrong thing to do.
Democrats 54 - 33 percent think Biden dropping out is the right thing to do.

pass the popcorn

The Democrats are in a HUGELY, HUGELY better situation than a couple of weeks ago. Trump might win, but the Republicans won't win the House. We will have the balance of power that it especially necessary in these partisan times.

Right now, no one. I genuinely feel like it's a no-win situation.
I do apologize, I thought that your diatribes against Biden came from someone who favors Trump. I apologize for my error.

I believe that many Americans have cried out for a choice other than two 80-year olds. Now those folks have someone to vote for. Of course, as before, they still could stay at home or vote 3rd party, allowing others to make the choice that they will be living with for four years.

Evil has been determined against this nation . And if my people who are called by His name would repent , cry out to HIM .
To the LORD God all mighty and Father of our Lord and savoir Jesus the Christ .
Remember what spared ninevah .
