I just ignore them the old fashioned way and read what they say and if it isnt worth commenting, I dont comment. I still want to know what people say so I can follow the stream of the thread better.

Ha, that's pretty good.
I think it is meant to be annoying...goading.Just, people making ridiculous claims and when they are asked to provide evidence for those claims saying it is preposterous to expect them to provide evidence - and others back them up and give excuses, and blame the person asking for evidence. Sigh. It's just so silly and annoying.

Good on you, though, for not taking the bait.
Thanks. And I noted that you went and found some facts.I have personally gone and Googled quack 'doctors' before and posted information about them, after which there is typically a long silence, but it always come back around again because I guess people love their conspiracy theories, one of them being that mainstream science deliberately withholds a cheap, safe 'cure' for cancer. SMH.
That's pretty cool. I hope it pans out. As long as the immune system can successfully distinguish cancer cells from body cells and beneficial bacteria; otherwise you might get autoimmune diseases. There is something to be said using our own immune system to fight cancer.

It will be interesting to see where the science takes us. Chemo today is nowhere near as bad as it used to be, but if we had something more effective, if would be great if chemo were no longer needed. There are alternatives to chemotherapy, but it is still treatment. It would help if folks would back up what they say, like you wrote.
After a long hiatus I come back to find that the forums are in basically the same state as when I left them.
Has there been anything new that I missed?

I agree. The mental health field is a mess. One problem in the US is that the psychiatrists are suppose to write in regular English rather than using medical terminology. As a result, the files become huge. Then there are 2 - 4 year degree psych graduates doing intake - more paper. One doctor I know was sued because he missed a line in a huge file in a patient he hadn't seen before. He got the file 30 minutes before the appointment, and hidden in all that text was a line implying he thought about suicide. The patient later did. No intake worker picked it up as a potential suicide and the patient did not express it in the appointment when asked. So the doctor left the field and is working in another. We are losing good doctors in mental health this way.
And there is little money spent on the field.
More hyperbole. If that were possible.
