Oh darn. I don't know. I had a habbit of saying soda, unlike most of michigan. Maybe i got it from my cousins or the internet, something like that. but I've been in the world more and switched over to pop. It does have a nice ring to it. you think of the fizzy bubbles(popping). soda makes me think of baking soda.

I use to think "soda" was cool, but it's not that fun.

I have Wikipedia on my side.
Soft drink - Wikipedia

Soda and Pop just link to that page.
Soda - Wikipedia
Pop - Wikipedia

Although I wouldn't put it past you to claim that only a weirdo would bring Wikipedia to a forum fight. I know your type.
Well...yeah, you weirdo you. I mean, that Wikipedia page had an image of SODA, but they called it "cola"? COLA?! I mean, who does that? Communists?

Or weirdos?

I was going to say carbonated beverage.... I bought one today. It says "Sparkling Italian Soda". It has 12% juice. :D
I forgot I had it until I saw this thread. :D

Pop. It's what it is because it's what it does. It does not "soda" it pops in your mouth like poprocks. See? Poprocks. Not soda rocks.

I rest my case.
I guess you've never done experiments with baking soda and vinegar at home or at school.... :D

Now I'd like some pop rocks!

You do realize sparkling wine would be included in that, don't you?

The sign of a desperate man...

Many of us weirdos have a proud record of never having communed in our lives. So conflating the two would only be done by someone who can't handle the truth.

I did think of that. :p
The OP doesnt say anything against that though. So... technically "soda" can be alcoholic right? :p
I actually just call soda soda.

"Pop" makes me think of a lolipop.

What was this thread about again?

It is unclear. I think its about lolipops and baking soda. I choose the candy!

Now that I've realized this. I'm changing my vote.
Lolipops are superior to baking soda. At least I think it tastes better..
