... but there is NO EVIDENCE of any kind whatsoever that God does not exist. And, of course, we have the testimonies of countless people who have come to know God that God really does exist...

There is absolutely no evidence that the Tooth Fairy, Santa Claus, and the Easter Bunny do not exist either, and I can get a whole class of third graders to testify that they do.
Welcome to the forum. Hang in there.
PrincetonGuy said:You left out one half of the logic!!! There is no evidence that the Tooth Fairy, Santa Claus, or the Easter Bunny do exist. BUT there are countless volumes of evidence that God does exist. Therefore, to compare belief in the Tooth Fairy, Santa Claus, and the Easter Bunny to belief in God is radically illogical.

Also, there are some nuts who say they were abducted by aliens. Does their testimony render that true?Guywiththehead said:Millions of people have known Santa Claus so Santa Claus also has massive evidence, along with Allah, the Hindu gods, Judaism, and atheism, among others.
Well, unverified information from others is known to be notoriously unreliable, and thererefore, it isn't very bright to assess belief systems based on the convictions of its adherents. Rather, a belief system (or claim) should stand or fall on its own merits.PrincetonGuy said:To automatically reject as "hearsay" the testimony to the truth by millions of men, women and children who have known God is to automatically make a fool of one's self.![]()
If you click on the link to visit the Human Ancestors Hall at the Smithsonian Institute you will see a diagram showing the 'species' African people who neo-Darwinsts claim originated from species of African apes.Frumious Bandersnatch said:Like I said, John is a one trick pony. PrincetonGuy said:Do you know Santa Claus? Do you know anyone who does?
Guywiththehead said:Of course. He's the big red bearded guy who gives us all presents on Christmas.
Predicted response: Oh, we really know God because I feel all warm and fuzzy inside when I'm praying. Does Santa Claus give you warm and fuzzy feelings?
I MET santa a few years back. He gave me a chocolate version of himself.PrincetonGuy said:There is a BIG difference between knowing who someone is said to be and actually knowing someone. And do you believe that knowing God in a personal, meaningful and dynamic way is simply to have a warm and fuzzy feeling inside when praying?
The key word there is "testimony". Testimony is not evidence yet I see it presented as such all the time here. Please do not make the mistake of confusing the two. To do so is fatal to your argument.PrincetonGuy said:To automatically reject as "hearsay" the testimony to the truth by millions of men, women and children who have known God is to automatically make a fool of one's self.![]()

Browse through the rest of the website. The evidence is right there. Since there is not a shred of scientifically testable and demonstrable EVIDENCE in support of the racial ASSUMPTION that "primitive" African people originated from African apes, phylogenic taxonomies presented as 'evidence' of human evolution in Africa only reveal the racial prejudice and bigotry of those who construct them and try to pass them off to an unsuspecting public as 'science.'
