The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

plz plz plz pray for my really good friend...he is in the hospital and almost deid...he can't say his own name...I all I know is he was at a party and I don't know what happened....plz pray that he will be ok...plz

Things aren't going well for anybody, it seems ... it must be the time of year. Hang in there, though ... life isn't all rainbows and butterflies, but nor is it all storm clouds and mud pits. Things will get better, you've just got to take it a day at a time, or if that's too much, an hour, a minute at a time. Don't get caught up in what you've got to do tomorrow. Just think about getting through now.
Peppermint tea is actually supposed to help soothe the body, as is chamomile. *fills a huge teapot with steaming peppermint tea for everyone*
I'm here if anyone needs to talk. I love you all. Praying for your friend, Lindz.
Bec, I see you too (just call me X-ray Eyes) things will be okay. And Tn I get the frustration and the tiredness. But things will be okay.
And Steffi, God bless you. You're a wonderful friend to us all.

I just talked to my friends mom and he is going to be ok. He had way to much to drink and the meds he is on weren't supposed to be taken with alcohol. He is now out of the hospital but has a long road ahead of him...thank you guys for all your prayers!

I think I'm going to go shower. Maybe that will help make me feel clean, wash the mental rubbish away. Who knows. It didn't help last night, but ... maybe tonight. I don't know. I should be back though.
