CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

wow, in Chapter 30, doesn't this seem reeeeally familiar...it's like a repeat of Sarah with Abraham.....Rachel gives Bilhah her handmaid to Jacob as his wife....

...it's interesting that God "spoke" to Jacob and that God had been "watching" the entire scenario unfold, and then, in HIs own timing, prompted Jacob to move on.....kinda' like God's hand was on Jacob.....

....this is hilarious....vs 37....Jacob uses the word "stuff" LOVE that....
it seems laban meant to do Jacob harm if he would've stayed...and only restrained himself when he caught up with Jacob because of what God said to him...and even then. Laban had some choice words for Jacob, didn't he. It seems he was FURIOUS that Jacob out-smarted him and left.....he was quite a character....
Thank God Jacob left when he did.

Remember in the dream, God told Laban not to say anything to Jacob, good or bad...but yet Laban spoke to Jacob but nothing happened to Laban?
