1 Chronicles Chapter 22

This is a very interesting chapter. We learn in Verse 8 that David was not to build the temple because he had shed much blood upon the earth fighting the enemies of Israel.

Then in Verse 9 we learn that Solomon is to build the temple because he was to be a man of rest. God wanted the Temple in Jerusalem to be built during a time of peace. God promised that there would be a time of peace for the whole of Solomon's reign, so that Solomon could build a beautiful temple to God.

....i'm wondering if Uriah's blood that was shed was included in the "shedding" of blood and that is possibly a "key" reason David was prevented from building the temple.....David had him killed in cold-blood and it was pre-meditated.
