Do they still have record stores where you live? Sometimes you can find old LPs with Carpenters.
Ive got them on LP, cassette, And CD.
I wasnt around when they came out, not born yet, but I suppose if they were I would have bought all their singles on 45.

I dont really think much about Karens anorexia when shes singing..
But i remember how shocking to see someone like that...and a lot of young girls in high school were susceptible to the whole body image thing.
As I was naturally skinny it hever affected me, but I thought, wot? Im trying to fatten up and heres ppl trying to be skinny. Being skinny isnt that fun! You get teased for being weak and bony.

I think Karen was sensitive and a perfectionist..but anorexia is a horrible thing to deal with. I dont think anyone could have done anything if she had it fixed in her mind she was fat. But I did read her mother did not help as she favoured Richard over her...

Especially for a drummer. You need a good amount of body mass in both fat and muscle to keep up with beating the skins. Iron Butterfly's drummer Ron Bushy was really skinny too (drug induced?) and sometimes he would have to be carried off the stage in the middle of a set as he was just too weak to contine or even walk off.

Some of the videos I saw of Karen shortly before she died looked like a walking skeleton.

richard also got hooked on sleeping pills...life on the road does that to you. Thankfully he managed to get off them.
