LOL! Is it that many? In other walks of life, I'd be considered famous! And I've already had a taste of fame, in the music world. Not anything huge, but local, and a little regional.

The fame I've earned here I could do without....

A question for those who voted "moderate." Do you view those who voted high and ultra to be hyper Calvinists? I personally believe that if you are lower then moderate you are not a Calvinist at all but confused over the use of the word.

Not necessarily. Depends on their attitude toward evangelism, primarily. At least that's where my thinking is on it.

Most definitions of what a Hyper is would claim that anything higher then moderate is a Hyper. Banner of Truth is guilty of this and is reflected in their republishing of A.W. Pink's work, "The Sovereignty of God." They removed chapters and lines from the work to make Pink mad enough to turn red! (if he had been alive to see it)

R. C. Sproul believes there is confusion about what the doctrine of limited atonement actually teaches. While he considers it possible for a person to believe four points without believing the fifth, he claims that a person who really understands the other four points must believe in limited atonement because of what Martin Luther called a resistless logic.
The Truth of the Cross

I listen to him almost daily. :)

I apologize then.

Because I haven't had that many come out against me, I'm not even to be considered in the same class as my brother.

I apologize for even daring to think the people that hate me in the Baptist area are even worthy to be compared to my brother.

I will bow out gracefully and delete my previous remarks.

God Bless

Till all are one.

Hey Dean, I think it was meant in a light-hearted way, not as some sort of correction. Believe me, carrying this distinction is not something I asked for, or wanted. It's actually more of a joke than anything...I know you've had your trials and tribulations in the Baptist area, and I do not want to minimize that. My situation kind of grew out of nowhere. Evidently I stepped on the wrong toes somewhere along the line, and now we have all this...

No need to take your marbles and go home...please stay, and laugh with us...

Must the reprobate repent and believe the Gospel though they will not?

I was taught that this was the question, the answering of which defined whether you were hyper or not.

What do you believe?

The Baptist catechism is pretty clear. Saving faith is a gift of god, repentance unto life is also a saving grace of God...It can't be something you do.

Q. What is faith in Jesus Christ?

A. Faith in Jesus Christ is a saving grace (Heb. 10:39), whereby we receive and rest upon him alone for salvation, as he is offered to us in the gospel (Jn. 1:12; Is. 26:3, 4; Ph. 3:9; Gal. 2:16).

Q. What is repentance unto life?

A. Repentance unto life is a saving grace (Acts 11:28), whereby a sinner, out of a true sense of his sin (Acts 2:37, 38), and apprehension of the mercy of God in Christ (Joel 2:12; Jer 3:22), doth, with grief and hatred of his sin, turn from it unto God (Jer 31:18, 19; Ez. 36:3 1), with full purpose of and endeavour after new obedience (2 Cor. 7: 1 1; Is. 1: 16, 17).
