Anyone else notice that Revelation 13:16-17 doesn't mention a "cashless society"?

Being as how I consider Revelation nothing but 1st century Christian fanfiction, I don't have much of a stake in that debate. But it is something I also have noticed. I don't think John of Patmos could even envision an RFID chip. And if such a "revelation" wasn't understood by people in the first century, it's questionable to assume that the true meaning eluded peoples minds for thousands of years.

I prefer Star Trek's prediction of a cashless society better.
The Bible doesn't have enough space ships in it.

Not to mention the stories are alot less morally dubious.

I'd take the morality of Jean-Luc Picard over the average fundamentalist Christian any day.
