The ER of the hospital nearest me looked very calm from the outside. Far calmer than usual when I had to take my mom there a year ago. The way it is laid out has a huge waiting area with huge windows so you can see it from outside. It was all but empty.
However that was because they permitted at most one person to come in with a patient and at least in our case that person could come all the way in with that patient.
Inside where you can only see if you are a patient or with a patient it was a very different story. No available rooms. People waiting in check in areas for a room to become available.
So near me it looked calm and uncrowded from the outside. Inside it was a very different story.
I wish people would understand this type of thing that hospitals are filing up. Compassion has taken a back seat to many because "rights" ,"individual freedom" and believing wild conspiracy theories which all have become king
