Stumbled upon this building again yesterday; I love the sense of verticality, and the overall feeling it invokes as you walk in:

Also, really liked the texture the architect used on the wall here:

Added a bit of interest to an otherwise bland passageway.
It's in Texas, I can give out the exact location in PM. =) Here's a few more photos of the water feature inside the building - it actually connects with another water feature outside of the building.

@SweetCarolina Some of those castles are in the Black Forest, Germany, right? My 3 x? Great grandmother apparently had rights to a castle there, though I haven't been able to find which one yet. They look amazing
A short documentary about one of my favorite architects, Tadao Ando:
fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine. ='(Oh fun! I'll watch this in just a bit
I've always been intrigued by Richardsonian architecture - a revival of the Romanesque style, based on Henry Hobson Richardson's interpretation. This style usually featured thick, varied masonry walls / facades; asymmetrical masses; short columns; cylindrical (or sometimes square or polygonal) towers with conical roofs; and round Roman arches. Many buildings also included red sandstone and green roofs.

I'll admit, I have a weakness for epic treehouses:

Yeah, I don't think that particular style is too well known. I do like modernism, but I'm really fond of classical architecture in general.I like Richarsonian architecture too though I have to admit I had no idea that's what it was called till I read this post of yours.
