THE 3 REALMS: Where is you Inheritance?

`For by Him all things were created on earth that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether throne or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.` (Col. 1: 16)

    1. On Christ`s throne in the highest.

`To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with me on My throne…` (Rev. 3: 21)

    2. The city, the New Jerusalem.

`…the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God…` (Rev. 21: 2)

    3. The New Earth.

`And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in it light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it.` (Rev. 21: 24)

We know that everyone will be in God`s great kingdom because of the Lord`s sacrifice, however what part of that glorious kingdom do you believe you will go to?

    All of them Marilyn.

Peter is part of the foundation of the NJ.

    Rev 21
14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundation stones, and on them were the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

Peter looked forward to the NHNE in accordance with his promise to come again.

13 But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells.

14 Therefore, beloved, since you look for these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless, 15 and regard the patience of our Lord as salvation; just as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given him, wrote to you, 16 as also in all his letters, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which the untaught and unstable distort, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction.
17 You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, be on your guard so that you are not carried away by the error of unprincipled men and fall from your own steadfastness, 18 but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

    Hi jeff,

Thank you for replying. Now I do agree with a lot of what you have said.
We are looking for a new heavens and new earth, in which righteousness dwells. Then I also see that the 12 apostles are in the city, the new Jerusalem, as promised, to rule over the 12 tribes of Israel.

However I see that the Body of Christ will be with the Lord on His throne, (authority and power) in the third heaven, the angelic realm. The Lord Jesus Christ was set as King on Mount Zion, (Ps. 2: 6) by His Father, and that is in the angelic realm. (Heb. 12: 22)

My inheritance is "in Christ", the two most important words for Christians in all things.

Yes Douggg, Christ is the reason we have our inheritance, however WHERE does the Lord say we will be - earth, city or throne in highest heaven?

You ask where is my inheritance? It is "in Christ". My inheritance is Christ.

Yes I asked `Where,` and that is not an answer. You are not inside the Lord. You are part of the called out ones who make up the group called His Body. And we do have a place `WHERE` we go because of Jesus.

There are other groups - OT saints, Israel, & the Nations, who all have a place in God`s great kingdom.

Marilyn, I don't think you are taking in the magnitude of the two words "in Christ".

John 14:20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

"in Christ" is our existence, which includes the "where" we are, who we are, that we are, everything.

"Where we go" and "where we are" is a function of "when" in God's eternal plan.

Thank you, Dougg, however I do appreciate being `in Christ.` However I am NOT in His spiritual Body which one day we will see. `In Christ` means by His Holy Spirit He is `in` us, and by His Holy Spirit we are `in` Him. The Holy Spirit is through us all. it does NOT mean bodily in another person.

And yes, the life I live now is Christ`s, and for me to live is Christ and to die is gain, as Paul says. However I am talking about our inheritance that Christ has promised us. If we don`t appreciate the `magnitude` of that then we can easily get into error and deceived.

`Where` we will be is on Christ`s own throne. `To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with me on my throne...` (Rev. 3: 21) The Father has set His Son on Mount Zion which is in the angelic realm. (Ps. 2: 6, and Heb. 12: 22)

Some people say that is the New Jerusalem, however that COMES DOWN out of heaven FROM GOD. And others say ON the earth, and that would have the Lord`s seat of power and authority on His footstool. `Heaven is my throne and earth is my footstool.` (Isa. 66: 1)

All that is doing is trying to bring the Lord DOWN, DOWN, DOWN, to the earth or just above. Whereas the `magnitude` as you say is Christ`s seat of power and authority `far above all, in this age and the one to come, above every name that is named...`(Eph. 1: 20 & 21)

Marilyn, "in Christ" is the reality that we are a new creature, which knowing that should permeate us in every way.

Marilyn, you are talking about destinations. Destinations for all Christians are a function of "when" in God's eternal plan.

Now on earth, soon to be in heaven, then returning to earth to reign and rule with Christ, then afterward, in the New Jerusalem and new earth.

What is more important than those glorious and wonderful things, 9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. (1Corinthinans2:9) is the reality of being "in Christ" as permeating us as a new creature. Our resonating with God in His love for us and we for Him.

That heightened awareness can enrich your life, empower you, once it sinks in. I would say meditate on "in Christ" day and night.

The body of Christ is a referral to the church, believers in Jesus. So it would not say the prior saints in the Tanach are the body of Christ, because Jesus had not been born into the world in their day.

The church is metaphorical the body of Christ, while Jesus Himself is not physically here on earth.

Believers, making up the church, will be raptured and resurrected to heaven, where Jesus physically is, where they collectively become the bride of Christ, and return with Him at the end of the great tribulation.

I agree the Body of Christ is the Church, the called out ones, called out from Israel, and called out from the Nations.

I think I have asked you this before,

    1. Where does it say, (NT) that the OT saints are in the Body of Christ?
    2. Where does it say that the Body is the Bride?
    3. Where does it say that we will return to earth?

    Marilyn.

Nowhere. The OT saints were before Jesus's generation, so they are not the body of Christ. The generations following Jesus ascending to heaven, since He is not physically here right now, are metaphorically the body of Christ, the church.

Nowhere. But the persons presently making up the body of Christ, when they are raptured to heaven, along with the resurrected dead in Christ, become the bride of Christ.

I have replied to this before, citing the passage in Zechariah 14:5, which you differ with the saints in the kjv, saying that they are the angels instead.

And also in Jude 1:14, the Lord coming with 10,000's of his saints. And also I gave the example of Daniel, in Daniel 12:13, who at the end of the 1290 days and the 1335 days (from the setting up of the abomination of desolation) will stand in his lot, the Jews.

Actually it does say in the NT, in Hebrews that the OT saints were promised the city. The Body of Christ is NOT promised that. We are in the highest realm, (Rev.3: 21) on the Lord`s throne, while the OT saints come down out of Heaven to near the earth in the city. (Rev. 21: 2)

So if there are no scriptures to say the Body is the bride, then why believe it?

Yes you have cited the `saints` before however that is NOT what God`s word says. God`s word says in Hebrew - Holy Ones, and in Greek - Holy Ones. And that can mean angels or saints. Thus we need more scriptures to clarify which. So more scriptures please.

But that was not the question you asked.

You asked - 1. Where does it say, (NT) that the OT saints are in the Body of Christ?

The city is not the Body of Christ.

Marilyn, all believers in Christ, making up the church, who are raptured/resurrected to heaven, as the bride of Christ, will be at Jesus's Throne as His wife.

The mansions in (the third) heaven (in my Father's house, are many mansions) prepared for us by Jesus are part of the New Jerusalem that will come down from heaven to the new earth - after the 1000 years and after the great white throne judgement.

When Jesus went to the place of them who have died in the past, during the three days his body was in the tomb, he preached the gospel to them there and set the so-to-speak captives free, which their souls could go to heaven. Which would be the saints of the old testament. Where their souls are right now.

All of the old testament saints, therefore, as believers in Christ and His gospel also, will be part of the bride of Christ - which Daniel being one of them, will return with Jesus to stand in his lot, at the end of the 1290 days and 1335 days in Daniel 12:11-13.

When Jesus comes to receive us unto Himself, we will be where He will be also. And Jesus is returning back to this present earth to end the great tribulation, and to reign and rule from Jerusalem on King David's throne - and the saints, his wife with Him to reign and rule on this earth.

I gave you more scriptures. Jude 1:14 and the example of Daniel.

Why wouldn't they be? Do you think He didn't die for them? Do you think they are saved somehow apart from the blood of Christ?

1 Corinthians 10:1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; 2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; 3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat; 4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

Ephesians 5:22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. 24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. 25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. 28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. 29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: 30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. 31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. 32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

This passage, like other passages of scripture, makes it clear that the body of Christ and the church are the same thing. I know you already agree with that. But, another thing that this passage makes clear is that Christ is married to the church just as a husband is married to his wife in the sense that He loves the church just as a husband is supposed to love his wife.

So, it really should not be so hard for you to see here that since Paul talks in terms of Christ being married to the church, which is the body of Christ, then that means the body of Christ is also the bride of Christ. The church, the body of Christ and the bride of Christ are all the same thing. To me, this is a fundamental thing that all Christians should be able to fairly easily understand, and, yet, you don't.

It doesn't. At least not before burning it up and renewing it first (2 Peter 3:10-13).

We agree that all are IN CHRIST, however God has NOT promised all the same inheritance of where they will rule.

As to Eph. 5: 22 - 32 Paul is giving an EXHORTATION for men to love their wives as Christ does HIS BODY. The two become ONE. No doctrine of the body being the bride there.
