Yes, the world will have to know that Jesus is coming but also have reason to believe that he is coming to execute Judgment on them. And they have to have time to assemble their armies at Armageddon before he comes.

What and when causes them to act, that is the question.

In Daniel 12, those who remain until day 1335 will be blessed. The implication is remain true to Jesus, them who become Christians after the rapture takes place and have gone through the great tribulation. Near the end of the 70th week, there are the battles in Daniel 11 involving the beast against the other three quadrant powers of the earth. News from the east troubles him, so we know that the kings of the east, marching across the dried up Eurphrates in Revelation 16, are coming to attack him. So all the nations will be drawn into the middle east - but not to battle Jesus initially.

Then without warning, the events of Revelation 6, the sixth seal take place. Which in Revelation 16 is ....

I might note the exact day on the timeline has the same sort of exactness of timing that in the preliminaries the kings of the east will march toward the middleeast, killing the followers of the beast along the way, which it appears to be populations in Pakistan, Afghanistan, India, as part of the 1/3 of mankind.
