The 11th Commandment -- Thou Shall Not Be Gay

I have said this time and time again. Jesus calls sexual immorality unclean. I use Leviticus18 and 20 for morals, not for a system of rules(I hope this clarifies some misunderstandings here). I believe the whole N.T. preaches against sexual immorality and commands that we abstain from it, even in our suffering.

'What comes out of a man is what makes him "unclean." For from within, out of men's hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and make a man "unclean."'"

When we decided to take up our cross and follow Jesus, we suffer just as he suffered and sacrifice just as he sacrificed. We die to the cross just as he died to the cross along with all our sins, in which he nailed to it. And on the day of judgement, we will be raised up in the same way Jesus was raised up and receive eternal life.

Suffering is a big part of christian life. Were in the eye of Satan here and he wants to go out his way to make our lives a living hell by tempting us and misleading us.

Hi dave and uber. I see you boys are having your usual fun. It's the same old same old, isn't it. One thing I have concluded is that this issue will never be resolved by chapter and verse arguments. Only by revelation of the higher principle will anyone see. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. For law and grace are not linked but are opposed.

My favorite book for Christian living remains The Christians Secret of a Happy Life by Hannah Whitall Smith. She was a Quaker lady who wrote about 100 yrs ago. It's still as fresh as when she wrote it, and all the other books could go away save this one and the Bible and we'd all be better off. She talks about how the law says Do and grace says Done. She has a whole list of such contrasts between law and grace.

If we'd get this right, we could go about our Father's business.

My own true self has celebrated 2 - 20th anniversaries, 1 -25th anniversary, and has two sons, the youngest is older than you. And this own true self has two gorgeous grand daughters. And nary a gay inclination but, I did go see the movie "Birdcage" several years ago.
