I was just about to ask if Dylan Mulvaney was Anheuser-Busch's version of Joe Camel.

That cartoon had more class and credibilty.

It's so easy to foment conservative rage mobs by this point that things like what Sen. Cruz is doing should not even count as work in any sense. It's like "pick a person/thing to demonize and make represent all that is bad in the world this week", and just like that, BAM! Budweiser, of all companies, is a threat to _____ (this week it's children, but who knows about the future) because _______ , and we have to have the government look into them because _____.

Any of us could do this for half (or less) of what Cruz makes, and those of us on CF who make a point of publicizing such witch hunts could probably even do it much better than he does. Why are you wasting your time here on CF, Hark!, when your country apparently needs you to keep the trans beers from turning everyone's daughters into their sons and vice-versa?

Because a skilled attorney can make anything look nefarious and since Ted Cruz has no real need for the data, it's obviously meant to be for messaging purposes.

How do you know Cruz has no need of the data? AB could work to convince him and now everyone else they are not doing what they are accused of.

Great Mister Cruz can try for a subpoena if he wants to attempt that, but I’m going to guess that that option isn’t within his purview so he’s stuck with writing strongly worded letters to AB-INBev and issuing press releases.
