Well, here's a resolution the Tea Party thinks small businesses should make:

I, an American small business owner, part of the class that produces the vast majority of real, wealth producing jobs in this country, hereby resolve that I will not hire a single person until this war against business and my country is stopped.

Many from the right continue to show their true colors, they're more concerned about political victories than helping the economy. I guess they'd rather tank the economy to hurt Obama and are encouraging people to deliberately do so.

Forget about helping the ecomomy. What about the small businessman who refuses to hire? Why should he give up his hopes for the future to help 'the party'?

I think they SHOULD stop hiring. It will force the bloated government to get bigger and creep in on their market before eventually taking over their business, paying the workers they previously employed a pitiable wage, and in the end, take their dignity and give them a vest with a name tag...

Sorry, that turned into Walmart there....

That....just seams contrary to small business and will just bring the economy down.

Now if they had a pension to send to Obama for small business owners to sign I can see this may be getting some attention. But just not hiring? Better hope your workers don't all walk off if you agree to this.

I hope we can get a list of the business owners who take this pledge so I can take it to the next level and help him in not hiring additional people by boycotting whatever they sell. Hopefully he will have to close up shop and see if he can get a job. LOL

So basically the TEA Party is saying "Don't respond to consumer demand by increasing your workforce. Forgo opportunties to grow your business. That'll show 'em!".

The TEA Party is heavily funded by the US Chamber of Commerce. The US Chamber of Commerce receives a large portion of it's funds from a small group of large companies. Those companies don't really want small business to compete with them. A simple follow the money exercise shows that this is really about large companies trying to quash competition.

Exactly! Yet these clowns are suggesting just that. Essentially some bizarre form of self sacrifice for the supposed "greater good". You should intentionally help tank the economy, and your business, so we can beat Obama.

I thought that was clear when they went after Mitch McConnell (who was largely responsible for getting our bond rating lowered) for "caving" on the debt ceiling crisis.

You had plenty who were putting all sorts of spin on reigning in spending, etc and how they had to end it right then and there.

No idea how you spin telling businesses to stop hiring, which will keep the economy bad, in order to defeat Obama.

Yes, it is vital to their entire worldview that the average person suffer for the sake of maintaining power for a particular political faction.

EVERYTHING the tea drinkers and their GOP cohorts are doing is to get the sitting President out of office. Period.
You're right about the first part. One of the funniest lines I've heard recently ...

Rick Santorum ad disclaimer:
My name is Rick Santorum and I approved this message ... and any other message which will help defeat Barack Obama.
No matter what the consequences to the country may be.
WRONG about the second part. Obama has been a disaster for the country ... just FACT ...

The TEA party is all about fixing the country.

And they call it Patriotism.

True.

If you read the OP you would notice that in this case the Tea Party is all about stunting the economy and creating more unemployment for the sake of political power.
I disagree with the OP ... just been ignoring it ... (nothing personal)

Ignoring everything you don't agree with is a really silly thing to do, and leads you to make false statements like "The Tea Party is all about fixing America" when the reality is far different.

Notice how people from this movement seem to act like children? "I don't like the rules, so I am not going to play the game. See how mad I am? Boo hoo!"

I thought we were talking about the Tea Party and small businesses but what you describe sounds like the Occupy crowd to me.

As far as I know, the OWS are advocating changing the system while this tea party group is advocating breaking the system even more. A bit of a difference, eh?

LOL ... thanks for the encouragement, Acropolis. I pick and choose which to respond to though ... as I feel compelled.

Actually I can hear from them is whining about "it's not fair" like a spoiled 2 year old. Haven't seen anything at all in terms of what changes they'd like to see or by what constitutionally allowed mechanism those changes would occur. So far all it amounts to is "those guys have too much" with a good healthy dose of "save me from the consequenses of my own stupid choices" tossed in for good measure.
