I’m wondering if anyone here knows of a reputable place I could find any tactile icons? I’m looking for a gift for a blind friend at our parish. Thanks

That would be fantastic if you have suggestions. She’s a dear friend that we helped her move recently and I noticed she had some that were raised and I asked her about them. She referred to them a tactile. I’ve been searching around but haven’t found anything so far so I figured I’d check here. Y’all have always been so kind and helpful.

any of the big ones like St Tikhon’s, any of Elder Ephraim’s, St Gregory Palamas, etc

There are some Beeswax carved icons as well. They are infused with incense. I previously purchased this one of St Stephen. (They have a range of sizes and prices).

If you haven't already gotten one, you could check out Johnathan Pageau's website. He works with wood and stone. It looks like you have to join a Patreon in order make purchases. I'm not sure what that entails. Pageau Carvings

I've never seen one in person, but they look awesome. If I recall the story correctly, he used to do other kinds of work, and a bishop came across some and told him he does such beautiful work he should make icons, and that's how he got started.
