I responded after reading a satire piece stating that Palin did change her endorsement to Cruz. It was funny. Perhaps you read that, too?

In Google searching I couldn't come up with a legitimate retraction, or new endorsement, from her though.
It's possible I read a satire piece but I try to be really careful about that. It's been several weeks ago though so maybe.....

The only one that came up just now is too silly to be believable, no wonder you laughed, maybe another one though. :sigh:

Possibly coincidental ... the latest Fox News poll shows statistical tie between Trump and Cruz. Kasich's brief surge in support appears to be collapsing in favor of Ted Cruz.

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/ep..._republican_presidential_nomination-3823.html

Trump - 41%
Cruz - 38%
Kasich - 17%
Kasich is and was only in this to win Ohio, which he did. Now he's staying on in order to show himself as the other alternative to Trump come time for the contested convention.

If Kasich cannot win states like Illinois, Michigan and Wisconsin, what use is he as a compromise candidate?

When Kasich eventually drops out, his supporters will flock to Cruz.... then things will get morbidly interesting.

1) I don't know why Kasich voters would automatically move to Cruz.

2) The open question is whether there will be a second ballot. Most projections don't give Trump the needed votes for a first ballot victory.

3) No intervention by the party is needed during the convention; well not until there are 3 or 4 ballots with no winner.

After the first ballot, everyone is eligible. Even someone who didn't even run in the primaries.

Yes, the delegates can vote for whoever they wish in the second round (in most states). They just MIGHT prefer a candidate that has shown the ability to win states in this election cycle.

If Kasich don't appeal to voters outside of Ohio, why should the delegates choose him as the nominee?

Surprise!!! Jeb Bush endorses Ted Cruz
Jeb Bush endorses Ted Cruz: 'Ted is a consistent, principled conservative who has demonstrated the ability to appeal to voters and win primary contests,' the former Florida governor says | Politico

In a surprise announcement, Jeb Bush will endorse Ted Cruz on Wednesday as an antidote to the “divisiveness and vulgarity” of Donald Trump, providing a badly needed boost to the Texas senator – but it’s one that comes dangerously late in a game that Trump is dominating.

Cruz, in New York City on Wednesday, planned to celebrate with a victory lap of three network morning shows. The endorsement comes 32 days after a beaten Bush dropped out of the GOP presidential race, and eight days since Sen. Marco Rubio abandoned his own quest after being rebuffed by Bush, his fellow Floridian and one-time mentor.
...
Cruz is finally getting a rush of the establishment love that so long eluded him: Mitt Romney said he voted for Cruz in Tuesday’s Utah primary, which the Texan won easily, and recorded get-out-the-vote calls for him in Mormon-heavy Utah and Arizona.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) held a fundraiser for him in Washington on Monday ...

Priceless.

Because they don't like Trump nor Cruz maybe?

Because if they supported Trump, they would've supported him from the get-go; Kasich would've never gotten their support in the first place.

There is absolutely no evidence that Cruz is an "establishment Republican." Rejected and hated by his Senatorial peers on both sides of the aisle, he is no friend of the establishment.

Endorsements by Romney and Jeb Bush only serve to diminish their stature as elder statesmen of the party.

Looks like news in Wisconsin, which votes in two weeks, is picking up for Ted Cruz. Emerson, the most accurate pollster going into Iowa caucuses, is now predicting a Cruz victory ...
New Wisconsin Poll is Big News for Ted Cruz | RedState

... and popular Wisconsin governor Scott Walker is strongly hinting at who he will endorse.
Walker Hints Toward Which GOP Candidate He’ll Endorse: ‘There’s Really Only One Candidate’ | The Blaze

“If you’re someone who is uneasy with the front-runner right now, there’s really only one candidate I think if you’re just looking at the numbers objectively,” Walker said. “Sen. Ted Cruz is the only one who’s got a chance other than Donald Trump to win the nomination, statistically, and my friend Gov. Kasich cannot.”

Bush is part of the establishment and won't endorse someone who threatens that.
As with many decisions the choice for Bush was between two undesirable alternatives ... but not necessarily about one threatening the establishment and one not. In fact, many knowledgeable pundits have indicated that Trump is the least threatening to the so-called "establishment".
