The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. Things with me have been okay. It's day four forty one, I believe... and I'm going to celebrate day four fifty somehow. However, day five hundred is going to get more attention than that. I think, anyway.

I am doing okay, I suppose. I went down for altar call last Sunday; the sermon was on whether Jesus was willing to heal or not (the story of the leper and Jesus; the leper asked Jesus if He could heal him, and Jesus responded by basically saying, "Yes, I am willing.") and then the pastor had a "Victory circle" in front with people at the altar and other people around them praying for them. That was the first time I went down, and it was quite scary, but once I got up there and on my knees, it was better. I'm glad I did it, although I've been struggling lately with feeling God's nearness. I know He IS near, but I guess it's one of those times when I just have to walk in faith. Or something like that.

Thats great you went for an altar call. That shows your not afraid. It shows you do want healing and you deserve healing. I know it wont be easy, but its a start. Im praying for you!Aww Bec. I feel so out of the loop now that I've not been here in ages. I guess I'm starting to get used to real life relationships so those on the computer don't feel so realistic? I don't know. It's weird. I don't feel any different from anyone else; we're all faceless beings, and there's no one to really prove that we are who we say we are. Annnnoying.
Okay, I'll stop with that now.
I don't want to depress myself./me snuggles everyone.
