The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. Right now I want everything to go away. I feel like I've ruined myself for life. I don't want to live with this forever. Everyone acts like I can just turn my ED off whenever I decide to, like it's that easy! ;(

She basically said that she doesn't want my parents wasting money for me to go, freak out, and want to come home (which is what happened last time).

I've skipped my prescription of CF for a few days, and am now back on my prescribed dosage. Sounds like things aren't going great for you all. *snuggles*

April girls Im scared. my parents think that this whole ED thing is totally my decision and I can stop it whenever I want to. Tonight my mom said that if I come back from IP and I don't get better ( if I "choose to stay sick") that I will be kicked out of the house.
I dont know what to do!

well... im not feeling very good about myself... im kinda trying to reinvent myself... not working... got a hair cut today and i hate it... i think it looks horrible so really feeling down... and im soooooooo fat atm... iim not feeling confortable in anything... so the only place i want to be is bed...

Don't be worrying what other people are saying or the threats they are making. You need to work on you. The reason why so many people fail in the first place is because they tell themselves they cant/or wont be able to do it. You can do it, if you try hard and really want to recover you can make it. Dont worry about all the talk, just get on the right track and improve your health.

I'm trying to lose weight but I'm scared I'm going to get obsessed like I did about # years ago. I developed what they called "disordered eating" but not specifically an ED. I need to get the weight off for real (MD orders) but I am scared to go too far. I haven't dealt with this in years.So, I guess I'm not doing as well as I could be doing.
