Not begun. Such laws were in place when I grew up years ago in southeastern US states.

Same as Anastasia ^^ My country of origin still has a lot of Sunday trading laws. Small shops can open to sell essentials nowadays but I can remember when it was basically restricted to Sunday papers and a pint of milk. Same here in the Netherlands; it can still be tricky up north and I think in the (Dutch) Bible belt it would be a no go to buy anything at all on a Sunday.

I have noticed that people are calling Sunday worship the mark of the beast? Where I come from people thought supermarkets wanting to open on a Sunday was a sign of the end times, I remember it being prayed about in church, haha.
