Hello Archer_on_Fire, yes I did read everything you wrote. It is not biblical. All of us have tempation to break any of God's Commandments. Breaking anyone of them is sin *JAMES 2:10-11; 1 JOHN 3:4. The wages is sin is death to all those who reject the gift of God's dear son [FORGIVENESS through confession and repentance and faith]. If you kill yourself you have committed an unpardonable sin because there is no way you can seek God's forgiveness.

However, a person who commits this sin is obviously under tremendous mental and emotional stress, and unable to think rationally, and God will certainly take that into consideration in judging that person.

Yep, James is pretty clear if we brake ANY of God's Law (10 commandments) then we are a TRANSGRESSOR of God's LAW and commit SIN. James quotes two of the 10 Commandments saying that if we break them we commit sin v9 that are summed up in the 2nd great commandments of LOVE to God and LOVE to our neighbour in v11. Maybe you missed that one?

ROMANS 7:7 [7], What shall we say then? is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I HAD NOT KNOWN SIN, BUT BY THE LAW: for I had not known lust, EXCEPT THE LAW HAD SAID YOU SHALL NOT COVET.

Well here we have Paul in agreement with James and John also telling us that he did not know what sin was without God's 10 Commandments. SIN is breaking God's commandments and Paul uses the 10th commandment as an example of breaking any of God's LAW (10 commandments) = SIN (Exodus 20:17)

John is saying the same thing as James and Paul and states that if we TRANSGRESS God's LAW then we commit SIN because SIN IS THE TRANSGRESSION OF GOD'S LAW. So it is very clear that SIN is breaking ANY of God's LAW (10 commandments). We will look at the chapter context John uses v15 of MURDER as an example of sin which is God's 6th Command of the 10.

Sin is indeed defined in God's WORD as breaking any of the 10 Commandments in both the OLD and NEW TESTAMENT scriptures.

Now you want to apply that to Suicide. God's WORD says thou shalt not kill which is the 6th commandment that defines sin if broken *EXODUS 20:13. How are you going to seek God's forgiveness if you kill yourself once your dead?

Has anyone ever heard that suicide is a sin that cannot be forgiven? Where did this teaching come from? Why can't it be forgiven? Didn't Jesus die for all of our sins past, present, and future? So why is suicide an unforgivable sin?

To be clear suicide wouldn't include self-sacrifice. It doesn't include if you were in an impossible decision where either way you would die on the spot (e.g. 9/11). It doesn't include if they were not conscious or had no ability to be mentally aware in suicide like dementia.

Suicide, meaning that you chose to kill yourself for the sake of killing yourself and you were aware that you are about to hurt yourself, its a sin. God cant forgive you if you're dead, so it's literally dying in your sin.

I believe. I believe that quoting Scripture without understand who God is will not result in salvation. I believe that God would never condemn someone for something that is not within their control. I believe that the Pharisees knew every word of scripture but could not recognize God when they were face to face with Him.

God's truth does set us free and it is the WORD of GOD.

Of course suicide is an unforgiveable sin. How can you seek God's forgiveness once you have killed yourself when one of the 10 commandments is thou shalt not kill *EXODUS 20:13?

Sin is not like marks of chalk and only after we confess they are erased, if it were so it would mean we only need God when we sin but so long as we don't sin we don't need God. Such a idea is counter-gospel and the fact remains we need God and his saving grace as much as we do after we repent than we do before we repent.

The purpose of grace is not a golden ticket to heaven, it is the needed component for us to have restored relationship with God and it is given in perpetuity provided we called his children. The act of sin is not more powerful than the act of grace but in the end God is the giver not us so it is up to him to judge the fine lines.

Suicide is against the desires of God so is against God himself and it should never be considered a way out nor should we approach circumstances in life by forcing the hand of God. However blanket statements saying it is a one way ticket to hell seems to force the hand of God to the other direction. God is still in control of his hands and he will have authority of how grace is released regardless what we do.

Right. Suicide is never an option even though it is a sin that can be forgiven. I believe that suicide can be forgiven because Jesus says what the unforgivable sin was in 3 of the gospels. Which is like you said rejecting the holy spirits call to salvation. But suicide causes tons of pain to the victims family and should never be considered. They say because of my mental illness that I'm much more likely than normal to die of suicide. But I don't want to leave my loving family away. Besides I'm probably going to be gone within the next 20 years.

No. It cannot be forgiven unless that believer came back from the dead or something so as to repent. If they commit suicide and stay dead, it is unforgivable.

Suicide is basically committing self murder.

The Bible says,

"Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him." (1 John 3:15).

No murderer has eternal life abiding in him.

So there goes the false teaching that a believer can commit suicide and still be saved because they have a belief on Jesus.

16 "Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are." (1 Corinthians 3:16-17).

If a person defiles the temple of God (their body) by killing it, then God will destroy their soul or being. This would be destruction in the Lake of Fire (Which I imagine will be painful for a certain amount of time, but it definitely will not be forever).

Oh, and no actual Bible verse says that Jesus pays for present and future sin. That is a false teaching. Why else would you have to confess sins in order to be forgiven of sin in 1 John 1:9? If all sin is forgiven, then there would be no need to confess sin to be forgiven of sin.

Think. Why would you want to play games with your soul? I would rather be more cautious with my soul so as not to end of being destroyed in the Lake of Fire or in being cast into outer darkness. Both those options do not sound appealing to me. Sin always results in death unless a person repents. People need to wake up and smell the "Sermon on the Mount." Jesus said if you look at a woman in lust your whole body can be cast into hell fire (See Matthew 5:28-30). Jesus said if you do not forgive, you will not be forgiven (See Matthew 6:15). Jesus said if you say, "You fool" mindlessly in hate towards a brother, you are in danger of hell fire (See Matthew 5:22). This does not sound like future sins are forgiven a person. Jesus is talking to believers here because it would do no good to tell unbelievers about their sins unless they first repent and accept Jesus Christ.
