• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

2 days ago, I woke up with a mild headache.

But the strangest thing was, if I try to recall anyone's face, the face appears very blurred and broken, like looking in a fogged and broken mirror!

It never happened to me my whole life. I could still see a person's face clearly but it's the memory that's broken.

The only good thing is that after a couple of hours, I could *clearly* recall people's faces again. I went back to being completely normal. What could trigger such things like that? Distorted memories?

Idk, but i'll pray for you.

And maybe get it checked out? That could have happened for a number of reasons (diet, stress, etc.). If it's not reoccurring, then I wouldn't worry about it, but if it does get it check out.

Thanks Ms Kris, it's hasn't happened again, I could remember faces very clearly again, thank God!

I was stressed out and only had few hours sleep the day before which I did many times before but this is the first time I had this very odd experience.

It was a little scary. I did some research and what could cause memory distortion can be caused by brain damage and results are likely to be permanent. I was quite relieved that everything went back to normal.
