It is interesting when these political clowns put own their show this virus is so contagious.

But when i actually see this in real life, i see for an example. Across the street from my studio there is an office building of engineers and surveyors etc.. (where about 10 to 12 people work)

Who had an employee test positive for this virus, the only way he knew he had it. Was that at the office one day they checked temperatures and his was a little high, so he went and tested positive.

But not a single person in the office came down with the virus, so much for being highly contagious. And i have heard this over and over how one person has it but nobody else around them comes down with the infection.

At the school where i teach 4 students has had the virus, we did not shut down school and no major outbreak etc..
The Republicans held an outdoor event ... and (14) so far have become ill from attending.

Maybe the people across the street from you do better at safeguarding ...

Well if you feel that way about drinking and driving, then vote for a candidate that will support your view. Should not be hard most politicians are drunks.
Oh yes I will and I do. But I'm glad you agree with me about drinking and driving not being dangerous like they say it is. You're correct to believe that drinking and driving is pretty much perfectly safe.

Wrong on so many counts
  • a higher percentage of older people die, but young people have died too
  • it's not just nothing or dying, a lot of people got sick, really sick
  • Half of the patients who ended in intensive care units suffer still months after the disease, there is fear of life long loss of taste and smell and life long reduced lung capacity, possibly brain dammage ... these are people in their 30's and 40's
Except that I did not say that young people have not died, nor that they have not gotten very sick. I said that for the most part if I were to take everyone who has died the largest percentage of them were either older and /or had prior issues. That is not the same thing as saying that no one who is young and otherwise healthy has not had major issues.

What is safeguarding, none of the people at the office ever wore face mask, they were all tested, according to one person who worked there but no one was positive.

I did not realize that driving drunk was causing the spread of the virus, that is good to know.

I would think a virus as contagious as this virus is being portrayed. There would be at least 5,000+ of these type of family cases.
How do you know there aren't:

John and Elizabeth Smith

Do the lives of older persons mean nothing to you ? How young does one have to be for you to care about whether they live or die ?

Some situations are simply more safe. But that doesn't mean that all similar situations are safe. Perhaps the ventilation at the office was such that it was hard for the virus to spread.

Please know that you cannot count on this.

The situation that you are facing is this. The president, who has downplayed and minimized and lied about the danger of the pandemic, who has made fun of people wearing masks, including his rival, Joe Biden, who remains healthy ... is now ill and at the hospital with COVID.

In addition, his wife has COVID, and 7 other members of his inner circle have COVID, including Kellyanne Conway, Hope Hicks, three Republican Senators, the chair of the RNC, and his campaign manager.

Now you could learn from what's occurred with the president ... or you can continue in obstinate denial of the facts ...

Who said driving drunk is causing the spread of the virus? I didn't. I don't know where you're getting that from.

I'm saying that just as you pointed out that the virus doesn't spread because you watched someone with Covid go to his office and the others didn't get infected that's how we also know that driving "drunk" does not cause anyone to get hurt or killed because I have seen people do it and nobody got hurt or killed.

You and I have the same belief that if we didn't see it happen with our own eyes then we know it never (or maybe very rarely) happens.

Those people realize th bitat the risk is is low. Over seven million people have had it confirmed and of those just about 215,000 have died ( mostly people who were already older or sick), so I see nothing wrong with "throwing the dice" if you want to call it that. Moreover, we are all mortal, so there is really very little point in worrying about what it ends up being that gets us.
The President and his supporters would have us adopt a "fatalistic" approach when it comes to taking basic safety precautions for COVID-19 - but this is same political crowd who are taking an entirely different approach when they actively promote their "fear" agenda that those living in Democratic jurisdictions are at risk from those marauding hordes looting and burning America's cities!

When 4% of the world's population has 20% of cases testing positive and 20% of COVID-19 related deaths, its this President who's "throwing the dice" with the lives of American citizens when he sends White House political appointees to censor and rewrite the guidelines being released by the federal government's healthcare professionals!

My dad and I don't have that option. I have to take him to dialysis twice a week, Chemo 3 times a month. Blood test once a week. Other appointments a few time a month. The ER once or twice a month for his nephrostomy tube replacements. Mainly because of leaky bags. I also have to take my mom to doctor appointments , but not as much as my dad. I have to take my autistic brother to places he has to go to. And the issue, that we need food , toilet paper and other much needed stuff to live on. Lucky I get paid to take care of them. If I didn't get paid , I would have to work in public. Or, we would be homeless. I live in Southern CA. Luckily all stores and places, where I live demands face mask and social distancing. They even have disinfected spray to wash the shopping carts down. Every time people go to the the Doctors, ER or any medical place. We get checked for fevers , and asked COVID-19 questions. And alcohol gel put on our hands for safety. I wear two mask and a face guard wear multiple gloves for safety. And clean up ,when I get home. But people can't just stay home and not eat. People also need to pay their bills. People cant just stay home.

Pop quiz for the stats and probability gurus:

What are the odds of 4 or more people (out of 7) dying of something with a 98% survival rate, assuming they all have the disease?
