The tree is the Kingdom of God. Not the Kingdom of Israel.

Jesus being the root of the Kingdom of God, because He is God - and as God has always existed.

The cutoff branches of Israel, likened to a cultivated olive tree, were cutoff from the Kingdom of God, and gentiles, likened to a wild olive tree, have be grafted into the Kingdom of God. Based on accepting or rejecting Jesus.

By being grafted in, we get Israel's promise do we not?

Did you read Dougggs post ? it explains it

"becoming fully God and fully man in one person"

This is from the Statement of Faith on this site.

If you disagree with it, do so openly and ask the mods to change your label from Christian to a non-Christian status.

No, the land of Israel is not re-deeded to the gentiles. It is theirs, forever.

And really who cares? Why should non-Jews even want it?

We get something infinitely better than the Mt. Sinai covenant. We get eternal life. And we get God Himself living in us and with us forever.

Plus, a future redeemed body on top of that. Plus, the Kingdom of God. Plus, all that God can create for us.

The least of the Kingdom of God is greater than any natural borne person of man. Being a Christian is the highest thing a person can ever want to be - because we have God living in us. Not just our body, but our soul which is temporarily integrated into our body; which the body must be redeemed, due to the impact of sin.

Jesus IS GOD , He became a human to shed HIS innocent blood s o humankind could be saved , because a pure sinless sacrifice has to to be given to make atonement for sins , and since there is no human that is pure and without sin , God Himself became a human for the purpose to die in the cross to pay the wages of mens sins,
There are several hundred OT prophecies about this and Jesus fulfilled it as ONLY God can. This is why Jesus said he will be taken from them , this is why he said that he will destroy the temple and raise it back up on the third day - which he did

Douggg I usually find your posts interesting and informative but on this one you are very much mistaken.

"There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise." (Galatians 3:28-29)

The statement says God and Man.

Do you or do you not agree with that?

How is it that you do not understand that GOD Became a man , for the purpose to pay the wages of sin for all mankind , Jesus was God before he became incarnate as a man - therefore he would be God and man because he became a man for the purpose to pay for mans sins ,

So why are you complaining when I said Jesus is God and Man.

Are you unable to understand:

"There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise." (Galatians 3:28-29)

There are multiple promises made to Abraham.

One was that he would have descendants through Sarah, which Isaac was borne, and Isaac gave birth to Jacob, who's name was changed to Israel and his twelve sons and their descendants make up the nation of Israel. And that promise includes the land issue.

Becoming Christians doesn't make us part of that promise to Abraham.

We get the better promise. The promise we get to Abraham was that through his seed (Christ) the world will be blessed. Which it is in that promise that Christ came into the world, and now we have eternal life and washing away of our sins, and God living in us, forever. Plus all the other things I mentioned.

You were complaining , I just stated what scripture says

I was pointing out that Christ is God and Man.

Do you agree with that principle? If yes, shush. If no, tell the mods to revoke your 'Christian' status.

The point is that Christ is the inheritor of the promise to Israel and that we ARE Israel through Christ.

How is it that you do not understand such a simple thing ? God created man in His own image , then in order to provide man a way to be saved God became a man to pay the wages of sin so all mankind can be saved - While Jesus was on earth he was 100% God and 100% human at the same time ,
But He is GOD 100% of the time for eternity

Inkfingers, you have it just reversed.....

It is through Christ, Israel was to inherit the Kingdom of God. Which in Christ, there is neither Jew nor gentile, but a new creation.

Israel was to inherit the promise of Christ - savior from our sins and to be their King.

Unto Israel a child is borne, unto Israel a son is given. Isaiah 9:6. Through that child, Israel was to inherit the Kingdom of God.

Gentiles, being grafted into the Kingdom of God, are now sons (children) of God through Christ, to inherit the Kingdom of God.

There is no reason to be desirous to be Israel - it is not not even close to being a citizen in the Kingdom of God.

Christ is the seed of Abraham.
Through Him we inherit Abraham's promise.
That makes us Israel.

The promise was made to Christ. Not to national Israel.
And you may be in Christ as these nations.

Revelation 7:9 After this I looked and saw a multitude too large to count, from every nation and tribe and people and tongue, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands.

But that does not make you of one of these tribes of Israel.

Revelation 7:4 And I heard the number of those who were sealed, one hundred forty-four thousand from all the tribes of Israel:

Being in Christ does not make someone Israel.

You are either from one of the tribes in rev 7:9 or you are from one of the tribes of Israel in rev 7:4.Which of these two groups are you of?

The promise was made to Abraham, and Christ as Abraham's seed inherited it.
