St. Tikhon Monastery

Given that the protestant tradition has little to no interest in monasticism, I would like to travel to the monastery for monastic retreat. I currently live in Baltimore City, Maryland and getting there seems difficult for me as I do not drive. What would be the best way to travel there? In the mean time I could attend a spiritual retreat to Bon Secour spiritual retreat center which is here in Maryland.

You could try busing it to Scranton and arrange for one of the monks to pick you up. They do that sometimes.

I second flying in to Scranton and seeing if the monks can pick you up. that'd be your best bet.

Unless you know or can find someone willing to share a ride who is also interested in going - perhaps from a Church near you?

I have a car but mine is too old to be reliable for long trips on my own, and my means are limited, so that's the only way I've been able to get to monasteries the last few years.
