as usual, Matt is the worst!

indeed I am, I have a reputation to maintain. Fr Tom Langdon made the mistake of telling me once to tell bad jokes....well.....he asked for it.....

It's 3am. I told my daughter to bring my car home over 2-1/2 hours ago (she's borrowing mine because hers is broken down) - I have a LOT to do tomorrow, and I spent half an hour tonight fighting a possum that refused to leave the chicken coop after attacking one of my chickens. I was armed with an aluminum pole (which is not an effective weapon!) and a flashlight, and trying to keep the dog (puppy) out of the fray.

I could use the tavern to be open. :p

At least the chickens all survived - I think the attacked one will be ok. And I don't have to worry about the puppy since he had no contact with the possum (which hopefully does not have rabies!) - darn thing sure has a mouthful of sharp teeth though! And it was either too stupid or too stubborn to try to get away from me.

Actually on the farm, a possum was about the mildest form of predator we had. Barely worth a thought.

But then again, I could use a shotgun there.

Just a little 20 gauge would do fine for the random vermin. That possum will be back looking for a "free" meal - better set a live trap...
