Yes, I believe it has. It's usually within arm's reach. And it's only gonna get worse. ^_^

LOL! You have gotten worse than me! I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited because I am photographing the ordination of Deacon Evgeni to the Priesthood this morning at my church. His Grace Bishop MELCHISEDEK must think I am a paparzzi as much as he sees me with camera in hand!

That is cool.:)

But not the bit about people complaining it excludes some people and shouldn't be done. The nation is majority Orthodox so it is completely normative. Of course now we all get to define the truth, reality and normal according to our own desires now in our grand "modern" world and everything that is really good that we don't like is "oppressive." Bleh.

I just ran Blackknight's sig through Google translator

"Christ is risen from the dead, death, death of the press and mnimasi percent less traveling."

It might have helped (a bit, tho not much) if he'd actually spelt it right in Greek

Χριστὸς ἀνέστη ἐκ νεκρόν, θανάτῳ θάνατον πατήσας, καὶ τοῖς ἐν τοῖς μνήμασι ζωὴν χαρισάμενος.

My birthday is tomorrow, but it sort of started today. Church in the morning then chicken and almond sauce for lunch (Andrew's mum is an excellent cook) and getting a copy of From I-Ville to You-Ville which I've wanted for ages (hard to get Orthodox books here, not much choice), then out to a fashionable shopping street with Andrew for a walk and a really adorable and yummy cupcake and tea, then back to get dressed for going out and meeting friends and Andrew's siblings for pizza at this fantastic organic foodie type pizza place. Andrew and I got a duck pizza, to die for mmm.... before we left Andrew gave me Maus (a graphic novel about the Holocaust with mice for Jews and cats for nazis) and an easter basket with 6 lush eggs (from their Easter specials, he must have got them weeks ago before they sold out) and two marshmallow bath melty things. At the pizza place his siblings gave me a $100 voucher for an expensive but really nice place that I like windowshopping in and friends gave me a couple blocks of chocolate, and lots of smiggle stuff. I love smiggle. It's all pink! Smiggle does themes, and one of the current ones is ladybugs. I got a keychain, big jotter type pad (with ladybugs on the page, but mostly white space and lines) a little notebook covered in ladybugs which got turned into an impromptu birthday card with everyone writing a page, a pen that does 8 different colours only one of them normal (the others are pink, green, yellow etc) two giant paperclips, a 3d pig shaped eraser, a button with a K on it, a big pot with feet to hold pens, a pencil sharpener with 3 holes....lots of fun goodies! Smiggle is addictive.

And it's officially my birthday as of 26 minutes ago. I'm 22 :)

I'll be going to Columbia College. I'm looking at about $500.00 per credit hour. I'm not sure about going full-time yet or not. I've been taking 9 credit hours this semester (and last semester too), and it's been comfortable. I'll probably stick with that. I originally wanting to go to the University of Missouri, but they don't offer a photography major...just a photojournalism one. It's too bad. MU would have been much more affordable.

I've been thinking of using their online program for my B.A. I'm enrolled with American Military University, but I'm not sure if I want to continue with them. Finding an online college that's worth something is not the easiest thing in the world. I've kept jumping from one to another, trying to find one where I feel I'm getting the same quality as I would in a regular college.

Just got back from Liturgy. The lady I get rides with runs the bookstore (her infant grandson was crazy cute, crawling all over the place and cackling, btw) and so I got Orthodox Daily Prayers (ISBN: 978-1-878997-81-4) and an plaque icon of the Sinai Christ Pantocrator that is now hanging by my desk here.

Mwuha. Just got back from the Farmer's market. I found a little volume entitled "Robinson's Greek Harmony of the Gospels" which was published in 1851. Then out of the corner of my eye I caught a glimpse of a little black hardback book.... with a gold imprint on front of a man in a klobuk. My "Orthodox materials" radar went off.

So I got a book with the four gospels in Greek harmonized according to subject, and a 1976 biography by Schemamonk Metrophanes of St. Paisius Velichkovsky, printed by the St. Herman of Alaska Brotherhood in Platina.

And all for $10. :ebil:

Oh, and we got Cold Stone's ice cream. :yum:

On the alter? ;)

I have been on the altar for a priests ordination, the ordination of 2 deacons and the consecration of Bishop MELCHISEDEK, Bishop of Pittsburgh and the Archdiocese of Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania in the past year photographing the events. His Grace has been very generous to me in granting me this blessing.

I think the point is that you were 'in' the altar...sitting on the altar would be most disrespectful :)

Having a nice lazy birthday, except for doing lots of greasy dishes (made real ramen which was nice but icky to clean up after) and going out for yummy dinner with Andrew tonight :)
