We've moved Bug's focus on confusion over the differences to things she can learn and process...we found out her name was the feminine form of Cyril, I found St Cyril of Jerusalem adn printed it out for her...she thought it was "neat" to be sortof named after a Saint, and could relate to his story...so her interest is redirected now instead of floundering in confusion...and she's finding hte lives of the Saints as fascinating as I am... I was beginning to worry how I was going to redirect her energies...
This past Sunday was the first time she crossed herself during DL...and the first time she venerated the crossso ... Progress
Glad to hear she's doing well
I've got a soft spot for St Cyril...my masters thesis was on "Baptism in the Catechisms of St Cyril of Jerusalem"

He truly endured a lot during his time ... I'm always amazed at the depth of faith in the Saints' lives.

Glory to God Julia - have you thought of the possibility to teach english? I don't know how the situation is at the moment, but at least in my time native speakers were on very high demand in FL institutes. So long as your english accent is not, I don't know, like geordie or welsh .
It's just a thought. Some people say teaching is not their thing. You might be one of them.

Well, I finished my first icon yesterday and now it's being varnished at the moment. Should be good and dry for the trip home in just over a week... The photo doesn't do the colors much justice but I'll take another one as soon as it's at home in better light...

It's been raining here since Wednesday evening...cold, blustery...skipped right out of fall into early winter for this area...brrrrr
I gave up and turned on the furnace yesterday...and hopefully after we get home from church tonight (bake sale and cafe) we can build a fire and snuggle in...I've gotta mantilla to work on so...
Kaydra's doing well...still doesn't remember anything, and she feels alright after all the stress test, cariogram and whatever other tortures they put her through...
She's upset she's not going ot make it home for Thanksgiving, but we're still hoping she'll make it home for Christmas.
