I have never seen caster sugar in the supermarkets. Furthermore, I have never seen it in a recipe until Kyrie mentioned it.

At first, I thought it came from the castor bean plant.

I guess I could put some granulated sugar in the blender and try to make a finer ground sugar.

The equivalent here in the states is "Superfine Sugar" (Caster Sugar is a British Term). I know most supermarkets sell it.

Domino's brand sells "superfine sugar". I'm not sure if Domino's sells out in Cali, but here it's a very big brand.

But Splenda, Nutrasweet, and other chemical sugars are not good. Aquafina just came out with a flavored water. Sad thing is that it has real water, real fruit flavor and then that chemical Splenda.

The last time I had a little Splenda was when I visited JambaJuice in 2005. Girl, did I get sick. It left my head spinning. I do not go there anymore.

No, and I don't like them either, nor do they like me. It's easier to find less processed stuff here, especially in the supermarkets. I wonder why it's so different over there?

(we have plenty of processed garbage here too though)

The USA is manufacturing processed garbage and selling it across the sea at a profit to underdeveloped countries.

So sad.

Then we wonder why people have cancer, heart attacks, and arthritis. Our immune systems are shot too.

Come Lord Jesus and save us, for we perish.

That is great, Khaleas.

I hope he can walk after Forgiveness Vespers.

The first time I experienced that Holy Service, I had to go and see my chiropractor. I was stiff for a week.

Thanks! He knows intellectually the truth, but it's a case of making that step now, and he's like me - stubborn :) It took a small miracle to get me into the Church, and it'll probably take them same for my Dad, but I pray that God opens his eyes.

I've been busy...

DC on MySpace. DC on Wordpress.

DC on OrthodoXCircle...

The stats are booming, and we haven't paid a dime for advertising. We broke 1500 threads and 70 members have registered... and there's a monthly newsletter on the way that we're hoping will be both digital and hard copies.

You should definitely check it out.
