And Gore keeps talking about global warming.

We had a very cold winter but now it is starting to feel like Spring. I still need a coat at night, but in the day it is sweater weather.

Still the weather is unusually cold for Southern California.

Well, now the term has developed to the more appropriate "global climate change" because the warming of Earth can have a reverse effect which causes drastic temperature drops. But that's for another thread... :D

It's been unusually warm here. And rainy. It rained way too much for Tennessee in February, and late Feb and so far in March it's been in the 60s!

Oh that quote...

Actually, I was reading the obituaries in the newspaper a while ago and there was this one man, a Demetrios, who had died.

'fondly remembered by his son Dmitri, daughters ___, daughter in law Dmitra, sons in law Demetrios and Dmitri, and grandchildren Dmitri, Demitrios, Dmitri and Dmitra.

There were a few other names in there too, but it made me laugh. I remember a few "Nick"s among the names as well.

Amusingly, Jeremy (who is a convert) even managed to have a Nikki in his family. Universal name, much?

We have a zillion Johns in my family though, and my dad is Ian because it's the scottish form of John and they wanted to make it less confusing :p

We just had a young Greek guy join our squadron and they call him T-17. His first name starts with a T and then 17 letters.
I was in there the other day and I looked at his uniform where the name is sewn on and while everyone else is like SMITH with big letters this is like tiny tiny letters and it goes on FOREVER. :p

It is surprising that the Navy did not increase the size of his name tag so that it could be larger and legible.

Greek names can be larger than Armenian names, true?
