Excellent greeting once again, Emmanuel! You have definitely turned a "hello" into an art form!

I tried to rep you again today, but no luck.

I was hoping that if I repped you, then you'd rep me, then you could rep Emmanuel, but it says I have to spread it around first. So I'll rep Emmanuel, then you rep me, then maybe you can rep Emmanuel again. And I owe Michael some from my birthday. So by then maybe I can rep you!

Yeah! my kids start school in 3wks, also!

We're going to start in 2 weeks ("we" because we homeschool). Next week we're going to St. Michael's skete in NM. I met one of the monastics at the Assembly last week and am really looking forward to visiting that beautiful and remote monastery.

OK, so after ticking me off beyond belief this morning, my dear one calls me (in the middle of my delicious lunch at Cheesecake Factory) and asks me to put some beers to chill because the aircrew is coming over after their flight. So I was like, alright, hiss, after I go to Kinko's. So I go to Kinko's and wouldn't it of course be the day when neither of the two of their color copiers work. SO, I have to go back there tomorrow (sorry, Michael, I was peeeeved, but the book is now in the car).
But in all good, yesterday he told me to go pick out an anniversary present and I sure did... And after this morning, I deserve every ounce of it. GRRR....

I wish, I'm tempted, I have a b/w, but it's slow as dirt. But no, I went to Long's Jewellers where he wanted me to go... I just didn't take much pity on him LOL...

But the beer is chilling so I guess I've earned my share for today... Now I'm gonna take a nap with the puppies and then fold the ever growing mountain of laundry. It never stops...

Hahah, there isn't really anything where we live but since the worker in the family likes his short commute (all of four minutes) we're living where we are... and I enjoy it. On mornings when he has to be in at 6 (then he gets up at 5) it's really nice - I don't know how the guys in Chesapeake or Suffolk do it... esp on a normal work day when they start at 7:30... and get out a 4. I'd never see him as he'd be in traffic all day.

It takes me about 15 mins to get to Town Center and so it's a tiny hop for me (I grew up 15 mins from ANYTHING so it's nothing for me, I just go at off traffic hours, and I like to drive). The main reason I went was to check out this gym at Town Center which looked nice and we really need to find somewhere to go this fall (I'm not a huge fan of the base gyms).

I did see the worst traffic behaviour today tho. I was getting up on 264 East from 64 and about 50 yards up the ramp some moron (excuse me but that's mild) decided that he had taken the wrong ramp. STOPS and actually starts trying to back up.... in the travel lane. The concerto of horns was impressive.

Interesting. That driving behavior typically doesn't occur unless it's raining. Must be a new "heat related" behavior! Typically, it clouds up, and people just begin immediately driving into guard rails and telephone poles.

Have you been here when snow flurries are in the forecast? It's NOT pretty!

It's not new to me at all (although since this is the south you'd expect people to have some manners in traffic, they don't, in MD you just don't expect them to have them in the first place)... I always said: If it's raining they break, if it's sunny they break, if it's windy they break, and if it's snowy they just plain freak out. That's typical MD traffic so I think I'll survive around here. I always say when there is a back up that: Someone must have wrapped themselves around a pole.

I mean, let it snow a foot, at least I know how to get around .

I got the 3 person version instead of the 2 person (anyone who has ever backpacked knows that a 3 person tent comfortably holds 2 people and gear), and it still only weighs 5 1/2 lbs. Plus, I got it for under $100!

And Michael, if you ever need to get off of an undesirable post # or want to hasten your arrival at 11,000, I'd like to see Happy Birthday in German again.
