El Azteca in Pembroke. I scraped the cheese off, but I could barely finish two of them (they were smothered in salsa, and I scraped the cheese off). They were SO good!

What other good Mexican places are there around here? It's about the only good thing we haven't found yet... We almost went to Gordon Biersch again but then I realized it was Friday and not Saturday (cuz Kevin was off again, even though he had watch, but they don't have to go in other than in the morning). I'm going easy on him, we haven't cut out dairy yet, but we try to limit it.
We're making flat bread pizzas later on, it's just been a weird day, time wise.

What's the one down by Hilltop? It used to be Asia Garden, but these guys moved in, remodeled, and do a great job. I think it's also an El Azteca (these guys are all over, aren't they?). Also, near Newtown on VB Blvd., there's a great little place called Jalisco. It's not uncommon to see a lot of latinos also dining there. And then there's a really small place on Independence Blvd, heading toward Shore Drive... El Parian. It's on the left not far past Pembroke Mall. Very tiny, and a little confusing to get into because of the way the parking lot wraps around the building, but the food is muy delicioso!

I crave sour cream when it's hot... :help: :sorry:

Anyways my friends, I'm going to sleep. The hubs is already dead to the world... that is after I dragged him upstairs when he fell asleep on the couch with a doggie curled up on his stomach... rather cute.
During which the other doggie decided to rip apart a big stuffed toy and make downstairs look like a snowstorm pulled through.

The closest thing to Mexican we have up here is a Qdoba, which is basically the same thing as a Chipotle, if you're familiar with that MexicanMcdonalds;)
mmmmm, cilantro. Newman's Own Salsa is the best because of its high cilantro quotient.

Whee, I'm back home from volunteering!

I boxed 130 bags of frozen french fries and the same number of cans of soup, and built pyramids out of both those things before boxing them. I ought to get a job as a stock girl at a grocery store--I bet I could make some very impressive displays.

Morning /Afternoon or what ever it is now.

I'm shattered - left the house just after 8am to go to DL by public Transport for the first time - my beloved took me to the coach [ 9am ] instead of the rather ghastly local bus. Changed buses in Edinburgh and found the one I needed - got to Church just after 10.30 - nice time for DL at 11.

The journey back was OK till I got back from the coach - then had to get the local bus[ a goodish wait for that :( ] - finally got into the house at 4pm - and collapsed into a comfy chair, needing coffee very badly by then.

I get the feeling that Sundays are going to be rather trying from now on :(

If I had gone by car I would have left at 9 and got back about 2.30 - and a much more pleasant journey to boot.

Ah well - what can't be cured must be endured.
