I find a correlation with being worldly wealthy AND an influential leader in the Church.

1. You become incredibly popular.

2. You become incredibly deluded to the truth of God's Word.

3. That is one recipe for disaster.

It can be very important to tell the difference between God telling you something, and a foreign thought/emotional impulse leading you astray. It's the difference between life and death. It's contagious enough to spread to other people. Sometimes confidence is simply both foolishness AND arrogance. The only way to know God's perfect and pleasing will is self-sacrifice out of love for the master who bought you out of a life of death. Expecting kingdom flow without the love and devotion in your private life...it's the difference between the wise and foolish builders. One is on the rock, and one is on the sand. (Matthew 7:24-27, Romans 12:1-2). Trying to be 'spiritual' without learning from the Spirit will make you appear a charlatan, and more than likely...noone will tell you. Been there, done that.

Some of my mature brothers and sisters around the world would evaluate Paul a Heretic/Blasphemer. They might cringe at some of his writings while enjoying the others. I think it's important to note that he was abiding under the law of Christ in many of His epistles while simultaneously holding true to the Truth of the law. Through the gospel he talks about sacrificing his freedom often, even though he doesn't 'need' to. This is done to lead by example. He admits to it, but his mind and heart are sheltered in Christ Jesus. So I don't see any merit in questioning the validity of the new testament concerning his writings. He needed to reach out to both Jew and Gentile in Christ, even if it meant sacrificing his own freedom. Peter references some unstable people misinterpreting to their own destruction in the conclusion of his books. Also you will find that Paul will differentiate when the Lord is speaking commands, as opposed to his own advice. Both Paul and the people faithful to him in ministry often referenced Christ's teachings as being the standard to go by, as it is. Love was always the best way, unfortunately certain religious leaders in the churches would have none of it, so Paul had to pamper them to keep from damaging their fragile egos, thus fulfilling the Law of Christ (He did throw the Corinthians a clue at in 1 Corinthians 13). I hope they found Truth in the end, like the Ephesians. Paul wrote in the wisdom of the Spirit (the Comforter/Helper/Truth). You may also find he referenced the Torah when appealing to the religious leaders. That guy was a zealot. Scripture says he wrote according to the wisdom of the Spirit, I wouldn't question the validity too much.

Quote from Revelation of Truth Evangelical Ministries (RTEM) (This is good).

"Spiritual Negligence – Not knowing what you ought to know that may cause you to fall into sin, and not careful enough. In legal system, no excuse for negligence. Being ignorant in case of offence is different from being innocent and we should not see them as the same. To be innocent is to lack awareness or existence of something, but to be ignorant is to lack knowledge; it is a failure to know what you ought to know and fail to follow it. In traffic laws, if you don’t have fire extinguisher in your car, you may be charged, don’t waste your time by saying, “But I am confident I cannot have fire accident”. If you drive too close to another vehicle in front of you and fail to give the regulated space, and you hit the front vehicle because it stopped suddenly, you may be charged responsible for the accident. You cannot excuse yourself that the vehicle in front of you stopped suddenly, because if you give considerable gap, you would not hit the vehicle. Likewise, spiritual negligence is being careless. Many Christians eventually perished at the end, not because they were not initially saved but because of ignorance, spiritual negligence.

FRIVOLITY: It’s carelessly or ignorantly getting involved in things that weaken spiritual strength, and puncture spiritual life and then make one unable to withstand temptation. This is a common carelessness Satan uses to bring down many Christians into their old sinful habits, because such habits do not immediately lead to sin, they don’t blow or bomb Christian lives at the spot, they only puncture and it is just a matter of time. If a Christian is watchful of satanic bombs, since everybody may run away from bomb, but then Satan can bring in small nails, small arrows that may seem not so harmful but many become victims.

Such frivolous habits are casual but they cause serious casualties, damage and destruction, they are simple but they sink several strong faith. They are like inconsistent Bible reading or daily devotion, over-talking, getting involve in little, little worldly stuffs, watching worldly movies, watching wrestling, getting too much involved as a sport fan, special love and care for latest phones, cars, electronics and other things of this world, listening to worldly music, browsing not-so-real-pornographic sites, checking nude pictures, using worldly materials like makeup, worldly dress; watching “decent worldly” TV shows like American Idol, African Idol, Nigerian Idol, dance competition, reality shows that promote immorality and so on. These things indirectly drain spiritual strength, hinder free flow of God’s grace and Spirit, hamper spiritual growth, and eventually make a Christian spiritually weak and unable to resist temptation.

They are subtle but satanic strategies of destroying Christian faith and bringing people back into their old sinful habits. Those who involve in such things often wonder why they always experience up and down, forward and backward in their Christian lives; it is as a result of spiritual negligence of frivolity – not knowing what you ought to know, not taking heed when the Spirit of God quietly cautions you and when the Word of God quickly corrects you, you ignore Him that such things do not matter since every Christian is doing it and doing fine. So such ignorance is inexcusable."

Radical human idolatry will restrict spiritual growth. There are a great many anointed men and women in the Body but God is working each in His own way. It's when we stop comparing ourselves to other people, that we are given the freedom to mature. There is only one model, the Christ! We can learn so much from other people but we must be careful how we build. Christ is the foundation. A rock of offence, to those who reject His promises and His Word. The Teacher in Heaven is the best teacher. His ways and thoughts are higher than our own.

Lust of any form, obstructs revelation. Little to zero lust is ideal. Paul recommends marriage as opposed to "burning with passion". Although even in marriage it can be an issue for men (and women in their own subtle way). Yes, mastery over lust is essential for consistent revelation. It is amusing, the world's fascination with marriage and courting. I am fully aware of it, but it's simply not a priority in the slightest. Marriage for just the sex, is like riding a 747 for the peanuts. A wild ride to nowhere.

Part of learning to hear God's voice, is learning to meet and understand the needs of those around you, and allowing the presence of His Spirit orchestrate through you. I believe when we try and understand it on our own, it can be incredibly difficult. I am glad that Jesus is the way, truth, and life. That's the Truth!

Thinking about the passages on denying Christ. "If we deny Him, He will deny us" while this may have eternal implications, I believe it also alludes to the quenching of the Spirit. It is said this way (like many Scriptures) to emphasize God's inevitable sovereignty over everyone. So denying ourselves is allowing God to flow through us. I believe this offering of our bodies as a living sacrifice, is the spiritual form of worship, because we allow the Spirit to work through our vessels and produce fruits of the Spirit. The essence of self-control is denying oneself. Although it is listed last, it is the first, without which, I wonder how many fruits of the Spirit could be produced? I think the answer is 0.

I find the more knowledge of Scripture that is obtained and retained, the less and less inclined I am to evaluate something as 'good' whether in my mind or action. I feel experience, especially backed by Scripture, leads to what seems like an overload of information. There is so much going on, so quickly, that its hard to process everything! I am working on listening to Gods voice among all the thoughts and just letting Him control my decisions and actions, even if I don't particularly want to. So Spiritual Discernment starts and ends within one's own spirit by the Spirit.

"“Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say? As for everyone who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice, I will show you what they are like. They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete.” Luke 6:46-49

“Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

He also told them this parable: “Can the blind lead the blind? Will they not both fall into a pit? The student is not above the teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like their teacher.

“Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye." Luke 6:37-42

"“But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them. Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. Do to others as you would have them do to you. “If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that. And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, expecting to be repaid in full. But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful." Luke 6:37-42

I've lost interest in so many things over the years. Things I thought I would never lose interest in. Games, books, material possessions, money, popularity, (lustful) relationship, 'hanging out', holidays, birthdays. Jesus delivered me from all these worldly things naturally. Things that do us harm in the long run. It's hard to understand when we're young. These things don't interest me. It's always the same thing, the same people, the same scenarios that play over and over. Jesus is my only interest. Strangers are more interesting than 'friends'. My family in Christ is the closest thing I have in this entire world. I would likely die for them, if I needed to. When I say family, I don't necessarily mean people who 'believe' in Him.

I mean people who have given everything up just to be in a relationship with him. I mean people who are always working for him. People who never get tired of talking about him. People who love everyone equally, like him. People who exude Christ's presence with every breathe they take. The suffering they've been through, the lack of understanding, the lack of recognition, the lack of friendship, just to be with Jesus. The disciples of Christ. That is my family. I love all people, but those are 'the least of these'. When I speak to people like this, I speak to Jesus. Jesus is my whole world, and the whole world is in His hands. The Lord fulfills His own requirements for us through our willingness to be transformed to a similar degree. The way is hard. Many are called, but few are chosen. It is the depth of calling in one's soul and spirit.

I suppose this appears as arrogance. Confidence may appear as arrogance. I feel like people talk about the Father's will, but to what degree are they willing to delve into the Father's will? They are deep waters of unimaginable depth. Have you left Family? Friends? Pride? Renown? Popularity? Sports? Secular music? Racial division? there are many things that harm us everyday, but we think them harmless. What is the kingdom of God? None of those worldly things belong. Pagan holidays, synchronized worship, time restrictions, favorable times. I have many grievances I keep to myself. It is not healthy, here is a scratching of the surface. I need to resume my blog.

"This is a trustworthy saying:

If we died with Him,
we will also live with Him;
if we endure,
we will also reign with Him;
if we deny Him,
He will also deny us;
if we are faithless,
He remains faithful,
for He cannot deny Himself." 2 Timothy 2:11-13

"You were indeed called to be free, brothers and sisters. Don’t turn this freedom into an excuse for your corrupt nature to express itself. Rather, serve each other through love. All of Moses’ Teachings are summarized in a single statement, “Love your neighbor as you love yourself.” But if you criticize and attack each other, be careful that you don’t destroy each other.

Let me explain further. Live your life as your spiritual nature directs you. Then you will never follow through on what your corrupt nature wants. What your corrupt nature wants is contrary to what your spiritual nature wants, and what your spiritual nature wants is contrary to what your corrupt nature wants. They are opposed to each other. As a result, you don’t always do what you intend to do. If your spiritual nature is your guide, you are not subject to Moses’ laws.

Now, the effects of the corrupt nature are obvious: illicit sex, perversion, promiscuity, idolatry, drug use, hatred, rivalry, jealousy, angry outbursts, selfish ambition, conflict, factions, envy, drunkenness, wild partying, and similar things. I’ve told you in the past and I’m telling you again that people who do these kinds of things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

But the spiritual nature produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There are no laws against things like that. Those who belong to Christ Yeshua have crucified their corrupt nature along with its passions and desires. If we live by our spiritual nature, then our lives need to conform to our spiritual nature. We can’t allow ourselves to act arrogantly and to provoke or envy each other."

Galatians 5:13-26 (NOG).

A boring prayer life may be result of a lack of giving or receiving, enough spiritual love. Let's speak Truth, although it's not a people-pleaser.

I'm not talking about fleshly/intimate love (hug/kiss/handshake etc. , even Judas Iscariot did that) I'm talking about receiving spiritual love. There is a genuine and heartfelt desire to impart value, friendship, and sacrifice that lasts.

The reason people seek relationships is because in most relationships there's at least a small bit of spiritual love that is fostered to some degree. In Christ, we may carry that love to the highest degree, naturally. Wherever we go, whoever we see, whatever we do. Sometimes people don't receive that love for so long, they may think that the fake is genuine, and the genuine...is fake.

We should be careful of worldly love. It is the most dangerous kind of love in the world, because it looks so real. It deludes us to the presence of genuine love. That is why 'relational equity' exists. As the old saying goes.

'a friend in need, is a friend indeed'

So through Christ, we need no other love. We are connected to a steadfast love that keeps us from thirsting or hungering after love again. That is why single Christian men, and women, can remain happily single. They are also incredibly close to God's love because they do not need to be concerned with earthly things for happiness, pleasing their partner, or to please desires of the flesh.

The healthiest prayer life does not come at a cheap price. Worldly Sacrifice seems to be frowned upon by many believers, but it is the most necessary, for things of the Spirit. Yes, you actually have to give up things for the things of the Spirit.

If you read 1 Corinthians 7 (I use NOG), 2 Corinthians 6:14-8 (I use NOG) perhaps this makes sense in context with Scripture. Disobeying may lead to divorce and a world of destructive outcome. (Matthew 16:24-28, Matthew 10:34-42) There is hardly such a thing as hyperbole in Scripture. Only different levels of calling.

I am 24, so trust me when I say, I understand the temptations of lust. It is doable.

"Consider it pure joy, my brothers, when you encounter trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Allow perseverance to finish its work, so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything." James 1:2-4

A life of suffering for Christ is a spiritual blessing, that may seem like a curse to the flesh. The reason it is a blessing is because it is a temporary ordeal, with eternal reward. Even if you never speak of your trials of many kinds, does not make them any lesser in effectiveness.

It is the secretive that God sees, and rewards you for, in secret. Understanding this can be hard to accept in a fleshly sense, because the flesh WANTS recognition and praise from people. The spiritual nature WANTS praise and recognition, from God.

The reward from much suffering will stay with you throughout your earthly life, and your spiritual life after your physical death, if it was for Christ. It was, if you believed and continued believing in Him.

"Because of the multiplication of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold. But the one who perseveres to the end will be saved." Matthew 24:12-13

"Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. Whatever a man sows, he will reap in return. The one who sows to please his flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; but the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

Let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due time we will reap a harvest, if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to the family of faith." Galatians 6:7-10

"Some people once had God’s light. They experienced the heavenly gift and shared in the Holy Spirit. They experienced the goodness of God’s word and the powers of the world to come. Yet, they have deserted Christ. They are crucifying the Son of God again and publicly disgracing him. Therefore, they cannot be led a second time to God.

God blesses the earth. So rain often falls on it, and it produces useful crops for farmers. However, if the earth produces thorns and thistles, it is worthless and in danger of being cursed. In the end it will be burned." Hebrews 6:4-8 (NOG)

God may answer your prayers in dreams! If you think He cannot speak to you through dreams...I suggest reading the book of Daniel. The seer Daniel was even able to interpret dreams for king Nebuchadnezzar, even though they weren't what the king wanted to hear!

"The eye is the lamp of the body. If your vision is clear, your whole body will be full of light. But if your vision is poor, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!" Matthew 6:22-23

If your whole body is full of light (judge for yourself) then your dreams (and sleep) will often be full of light. The opposite is true (concerning darkness).

The more tuned you become to the mind of Christ the more sense Jesus's words make in the context of Scripture. Many of his terms seemed 'unloving' to the carnal mind, but the carnal mind and mind of Christ (spiritual) are always at ENMITY with each other. Likewise you can become incredibly aware to how many thoughts plague us every day that are not our own! Jesus wasn't speaking man's language! He was speaking kingdom of God language.

That's why He wasn't well liked by the religious leaders. If you DON'T compromise the truth of the gospel (and duties of your ministry) you WILL have enemies! This is natural. Don't allow yourself to be discouraged by lack of popularity, and don't compare yourself to others. You will be far better off in the end. We all reap what we sow...in the end.

Try and intentionally converse/socialize with kingdom-minded people or you may be influenced by carnality without realizing it.

"Don’t let anyone deceive you. Associating with bad people will ruin decent people." 1 Corinthians 15:33

Jesus didn't seek out the Pharisees, because he already knew their heart disposition toward God. They were not misunderstood, but corrupt through and through, to the core. They would never bear fruit to last. "with God anything is possible" seems to be taken out of context quite a bit. His love to the Pharisees was showing mercy with fear by speaking the Truth of what would happen to them in the end. They had hardened their hearts.

"“Don’t give what is holy to dogs or throw your pearls to pigs. Otherwise, they will trample them and then tear you to pieces." Matthew 7:6.

Don't allow your walk with God to be shackled by someone else's conscience/struggles. Be loving, but employ good judgement for yourselves. You WILL lose 'friends' being true to the gospel. If you already have many 'friends' by compromising gospel, well, Godspeed. I suppose we all have different callings, we choose to follow.
