I noticed this Brown Widow (Latrodectus geometricus) a "cousin" of the Black Widow (Latrodectus hesperus or Latrodectus mactans depending if you are in the west or south).
She made her web on our front steps.
I've actually been bitten by a brown widow before. While their venom is just as toxic (some people consider it more toxic) as a black widow's venom, a brown's venom is contained at the site of the bite and the tissue around the bite, it doesn't spread through the blood stream and cause the nerve pain that the black widow's venom does.
ANYWAY, here are the pictures I just took.
Notice brown widow's have a orange hourglass and their color is brown/rust. They also have a geometric pattern on the back of their abdomen, which I couldn't get a clear shot of because widows like to hang upside down.
