Speeding Tickets!

What is the worst speeding ticket you have ever gotten/dumbest thing you have done in a car? I just got my first one the other day, it was a six point ticket costing 136 bucks. Turns out that cop thought 67 in a 45 was just a bit too fast...

When I first got my car I decided I should test it out and see just how fast I could get the ol' girl going... So one night while driving on a highway, I floored it for a little while and when I looked at the speedometer, I realized that I had buried the needle at 125. Wow was that frightening/dumb.

I got one for going 90 on the freeway....cost me around $200

My insurance doesn't cost me $300/mo for nothing! i've gotten 4 speeding tickets, all in excess of 30mph, and one misdemeanor violation for speed contest(street racing)....i dont know about the craziest thing ive done cause ive done some pretty stupid stuff, but I got it up to 145mph...I also raced a BMW 745il from downtown san diego to rancho san diego and it took about 5 minutes(normally a 30 minute drive), with an average speed of 120...that was definitely high on the richter scale lol

I haven't gotten a speeding ticket but...

I have fallen asleep at the wheel with my cruise control set at 65mph. Yeah, I caught air when I went off the road and took out a couple trees and totalled my truck.

Fastest I've gone was a 60ish mile trip to Anchorage with a top speed of about 120mph and an average of about 110mph. Don't ask me how I managed to not get a ticket... I have no idea.

Oh, and I ran a red light once on accident. It was a 4 lane intersection too. Clipped a taxi... thank God the cab driver didn't call the cops... I'ld probably have spent time in juvi... That was by far my stupidest moment EVER. Well, vehicular wise anyway.

Raanan, I can't believe you fell asleep! You could have been killed, and what's more, you could have killed other people. You should really get one of these little things that attaches to your dashboard, to monitor your eyelids. If they start to droop it either makes a loud noise or a big flashing light or something. Really - cause you might not have been here today.

I got my first ticket last October. I was going 81 in a 65, so 16 miles over the limit. The ticket cost me $173.

Just yesterday I was going 60 in a 45 and drove right past a cop! I know he saw me because (yes I know it's a stupid thing to do) I looked right at him....Not like I'm guilty or anything ya know...

I take off ramps at 90-100 every time i go out. Its just too much fun not too. Strangely i've never been pulled over on the bike. I think around here they let bikers get away w/alot. Its sort of assumed we're punks.

Well, believe my first was ~70 in a 45. Second was 65~ in a 45. 3rd, just a warning, so it wasn't too much over.

well i havent had any tickets or fines yet... but i tend to forget what the speed limit is and the speed creeps up... so ill probably get done one day... lol
but generally i dont like to speed.. i mean whats the point? if you get caught you get a fine, and it uses more fuel because it needs to be in a higher rev range...

but yes ill admit when i first got my lisence i did some stupid things... street racing etc.. (i still like to show the try-hards that theyre not that good.. lol but only to the speed limit.)

One speeding ticket. Ten years ago at 17. I really didn't realize how fast I was going. 45 in a 30. Back then it cost me $85 or $90. I would hate to see face reality of today's fines.

I don't want to end up like Caelum with paying that much a month in insurance!

I always seem to cream birds when they fly by though. Does that count for anything? How about points, 100 points for birds 500 points for deer?

I have only gotten one speeding ticket and I was 16, I was going 67 in a 55. I have had four accidents but none of them have been my fault. The most recent one was Tuesday. Some guy backed out of a parking spot and hit the side of my car.

Yeah, I know it. My red light running experience was my stupidest but falling asleep was my most eye opening (pun not intended but I did notice it this time ) experience. Needless to say, I don't drive tired and if I do get tired while driving, I pull over and take a nap. It was almost 4 years ago I fell asleep driving. I still remember every detail.

Never had a speeding ticket nor fallen asleep but have had three accidents two major and one minor. But it has been a long, long, time since I have had one since 1996.

Yeah, I don't see why that shouldn't count for something, lol. I have hit my fair share of birds as well. I dunno, something about them not having very quick reflexes in the mornings. So let's see, I guess I have about 500 or so points from birds

Driving up the wrong side of a road with an island dividing the two sides towards a blind turn so I could get ahead of a buddy ..... not smart

Driving around 125 to 130 for about 20 minutes straight with 10 other cars on our way to a show...... should have seen the look on peoples faces when 10 euros went flying by them at every conceivable angle.

I take it pretty easy now .... gas costs too much and I can't afford a ticket or repair of my car. Besides, it's illegal and not an image I wish to portray.
